The Swedish Metal act Urbandux is back with a new album and one more time, the quartet proposes a lovely Hard / Metal hyper melodic and catchy with some little progressive elements. This is not really innovative but damn effective and if their first album The Aftermath was good, I can tell you that Eleven Eleven follow the same road. If you're looking for cool melodic Metal you'll have to check the release!
Eleven Eleven, the new Urbandux is cool, cool because the music is one more time really catchy, FM' on a side and dark and a bit progressive a la Evergrey too. That's the strong point of Urbandux, their music is maybe not really original being really inspired by 90's melodic Metal but the guys have found the way to add modernity to the music and some sounds, guitar lines, ambiances which are dark and near of the ones of Evergrey. Sure this is not so dark and not so progressive, but you see what I mean, that's the same spirit! Eleven Eleven, features eleven good songs and they're all catchy, and "Swan Songs" for example is a real hit. No really this is well done and features the ingredients for a delicious moment which will remind you 90's when Hard was broadcasted on the radio without any problems!
The production of the new album is really solid. This time no guests but a nice digipack again and a well done recording. The musicians are solid, the voice of DemonZ sounds "'90s", that's cool, and we have a song in Spanish which sounds really good. Eleven Eleven is a nice album which is maybe not mega original, musically speaking, but which features real hits and have its own personality.
Eleven Eleven confirms that Urbandux is a good band which knows how to play melodic metal. If you was a fan of 90's Hard FM but if you like Evergrey too and want good melodic music, this is a must seriously. This band deserve to be more exposed, so spread the word, we're in front of a really cool combo and their last album Eleven Eleven is really good!
