Children of Bodom and God forbid, Both throw a kick ass show, and Bodom keeps an undisputed controll over the audience, Alexi Pointed right at me, it felt like an eternity...........

Into Eternity, Edguy and Hammerfall, it was also how I found metalstorm. I was trying to figure out what to expect and I got linked to the forum here and have been lurking around ever since.

Megadeth and Diamond Head, 9th Feb 2005. Yeah, I was 15 and it wasn't long ago but most gigs here are 16+ so I never bothered going incase I got turned down but at the time, people were saying that at the end of the year Megadeth were going to split up and them being one of my favourite bands, I just knew I had to see them. It was a great show and being my first gig, I was totally mesmerized by everything, the volume, the sound, the atmosphere, the other fans etc.

I think it was Finntroll, Norther and Roctum in Helsinki last year... Fintroll is actually IMO the best live band ever... Great show much Beer

I was dragged to the first concert I attended because my parents didn't have a babysitter....my sister wanted to see New Kids On The Block back in 1988...that unfortunatly was my first concert...

cradle of filth I believe was my first concert I went to, I think it was in 2002, I remember cause I had just turned 13 or 14 lol and it was my birthday present sorta.

First concert was the Aardschokdag Festival in June 1983 which had the following line-up"

1. (and opening) Mercyful Fate (had only released the self-titled mini album at that moment, and that very day signed their RoadRunner contract)
2. Trance German band in the vein of OLD Scorpions but a bit heavier)
3. Vandenberg (Holland's metal pride at that moment though they were pelted with tomates when they came onstage, probably because they ahd a Biillboard hit with Burning Heart at the time, but after three songs everyone was cheering them on)
4. Raven (what an incredibly energetic set of Athletic Metal that was...)
5. Accept (last minute fill in headliner because Venom couldn't do the gig due to their backline being held up at CANADIAN customs, but the Venom guys were there to throw shirts and stuff into the crowd during the Accept concert) and this was Accept at its best because they had released their BEST abum that year, Restless and Wild.

Just this year I bumped into the booteg of that Mercyful Fate concert on the Internet, so I just had to have it of course, that being the first ever band I saw live in my life.

My first concert was The Rolling Stones, I can't remember the year, maybe 1997 or 1998. My dad is a big fan of them and I wanted to go with him to the concert.

The first concert I attended was Scorpions in 1992... I was 7 at the time and my partents took me... it still remains the biggest event I've seen in my life, because I'm from Bulgaria and it happend only 3 years after Bulgaria changed its regime in 1989, so it was the first concert of a big western band so everybody including even people that had nothing to do with the band and new very little about them went to the concert. In additiont to that Wind Of Change was a huge hit in Bulgaria, probably because of the lirics and I as a kid was going crazy about it and basicly knew it by heart... So I was really really happy to be there and it was a huge experience for me... the concert happened in the Biggest Stadion in Sofia and it was full to the brim... I mean, all the seats and the whole floor full of people... I think the concert was either sold out or oversold... another interesting story was that a drunk German turckdriver (driving one ot the tour trucks) let me get on one of the trucks and look around, play with the deals and stuff.. it was fun and the actual concert rocked really really hard...

Later the first concert I went to see on my own was Joe Satrianni and if you don't consider this a metal concert - in two days I saw Slayer and Halford... (and a few days later HIM, which is still the largest amount of goodlooking chicks I've seen gathered at one place with the occassional male like me trying to rub himself against as many female bodies as possible and almost not paying attention to the concert )

The very first concert I attended must've been in the show where the Finnish correspondents of the Grammys are awarded. I got free tickets from some radio station and there was probably HIM if my memory serves me right. Anyway, it was years ago. But then the first proper gig was at Ankkarock year 2002. I don't quite remember the bands, but at least we watched The 69 Eyes.

First concert I attended was Apocalyptica and Motörhead about 6 years ago.

Probably Markoolio, a swedish pop guy. When I was a kid. First metal concert was ofc. local bands. And first metalconcert with a signed band was Asmodeus , Amoral , Naglfar and Dark Funeral.

The only band of thoose that was good was Naglfar

Ozzfest '99. I got their a little late so I missed a few acts but it was alright because I really wanted to see Rob Zombie, Slayer and the original line-up for Black Sabbath. All three of them put on an amazing performance, Kerri King even came out and did a couple songs with Zombie, back when Rob actually wrote good music.. hell, it is his only good solo album.
I saw some other bands that I liked at the time, like Fear Factory, Static-X (I still like their first album, the rest after that are terrible,) Godsmack (can't say I care much for them anymore,) Primus, and the Deftones who also at the time were still writing decent music like Around The Fur.
