Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - To Release Best Of Compilation Next Month

Official press release

After eight studio albums in fifteen years, after over 600 breathtaking live shows Die Apokalyptischen Reiter present their first official best-of collection of their career - The Greatest Of The Best. Full with liner notes for each album, a complete history time line, all lyrics, guitar tabs on selected songs, rare and brand new photos and of course ... the 20 best Reiter songs of all time.

Commented by the band: "The youngest Rider fans were not even born when the debut album was released, so we can use the words "cross-generational", now. Who would have ever thought? Die Apokalyptischen Reiter would like to thank their audience with this CD, especially for their passion and loyalty. With over 100 songs, it was not easy to select the 20 best. So the band has searched their archives, set lists and guest books of the past, to find out the songs that have moved most. Musical boundaries and limits have never been subject to the selection on The Greatest Of The Best. Packaging and the booklet could not be more opulent, the seaman yarn of the liner notes will even die-hard fans let their knees tremble. Rare and brand-new photos, an elaborate cover like for production as a studio album. The Greatest Of The Best is a jewel."

The Greatest Of The Best will be out on November 18th via Nuclear Blast. Check out the album trailer below.

I always knew Scott Ian would take over the world, and he has.
Good thing I prepared for this day, huh?

Wait, they have good songs?

I'd ask the same thing. Never got into their sound.
