In Itunes there's a possibility to see your top 25 most played songs. So the question is, what is your top 5 of most played songs in Itunes and give a short explanation. My top 5 would be: 1. Overkill - Years of Decay 2. Overkill - Bring Me The Night 3. Mercyful Fate - Lady In Black 4. Grave Digger - The Last Supper 5. Gwar - Metal Metal Lands My Itunes had to be reset a while ago and I play "Years of Decay", "Lady In Black" and "The Last Supper" because I know those songs on Bass and play along with those songs alot. Therefore this list is not dead accurate on reflecting my fav songs. Feel free to share your list below!

Can't really answer this since I listen to albums more than individual songs...

I've been using itunes for around 4 years now, and have had to reset it 3 times, so this isn't really accurate either in reflecting my fave songs. Also, unless the song fully ends and goes onto the next song by itself, it won't register as a "play". But here's how my top 5 itunes songs currently looks anyway: 1. Mary Ann - Macabre 2. Jesus, Mary, & The Holy Ghost - Dio 3. Forsaken At The Gates - Forbidden 4. Adapt Or Die - Forbidden 5. Behind The Mask - Forbidden For a while after I got "Omega Wave", i listened to that one a lot on my ipod when I went outside, hence the prescence of 3 songs from that album in the top 5.

I use Zune, looks a lot prettier than Itunes, but I just got an Iphone 4 so I have to switch over to that soon. This is recent stuff from the last six months or so, but hasn't really reflected what I listen to in my car. 1. Frozen Angel - Norther (call me gay, but im cool with the romantic shit ) 2. Forever - Kamelot (this is fucking love metal ) 3. Neon Knights - Black Sabbath (Probably my favorite song in the last three months, im not sure who is better dio or iommi, they just fucking click) 4. Since I've Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin (One bluesy ballsy bastard, I fucking love it) 5. That Smell - Lynyrd Skynyrd (Love those dueling guitars in the last two minutes, I actually hated this song a few months ago. kinda reminds me of megadeth in the many solos) 6. Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman) - Led Zeppelin (A song supposedly never played live as women found it offensive, but easily the most headbanging on LZ II) 7. Losfer Words (Big 'Orra) - Iron Maiden (This song just needs to be a soundtrack to an old Nes 8-bit game, maybe Metal Mario or something, only song on Powerslave I headbang to) 8. Don't Talk To Strangers - Dio (on my tombstone it will read something from Dio, my favorite song off Holy Diver) 9. We Stand - All That Remains (Metalcore group that gateway-ed into more metal, love the solo after the first 15-20 seconds, hate the lyrics now that I can understand them) 10. Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You - Led Zeppelin (headbanging acoustic, fuck yeah) 11. The Wanderer - Emperor (ominous and dark, makes me feel mortal when booming in the car) 12. Excalibur - Grave Digger (this solo should be a stoner classic) 13. Night Prowler - Crystal Viper (the singer's russian accent grew on me even before i dug the awesomeness of the band) 14. Die Young - Black Sabbath (I plan on making the end of this song into a ringtone) 15. Holy Wars - Megadeth (Awesome intro, but once it slows down and the weird little indian shit kicks in, I hate it) 16. Angel Witch - Angel Witch (one of a few songs where I actually sing along besides songs with Dio singing... You're an angel witch) 17. Love Ain't No Stranger - Whitesnake (one of the few ballads I've learned to love after metal became the majority of what I listened to) 18. Every Time I Die - Children Of Bodom (one of the first metal songs I loved after listening to metal, but havent listened to in months, easily heard this 400 times though. When I first played halo 3 on xbox live, this would be blasting on the computer about 10 feet away from my headphones and everyone on the team could hear it) Any of these songs could be my favorite while driving.

Thanks to Kid Death for taking the time to add a thought or two on the songs rather than just a useless list. let's try to continue along that line of posting... otherwise this is just a spam thread and will get blown up. finally, let's be honest, does anyone really give a flying fuck at a rolling donut about what someone else listened to the most?

If you dont care about it why bother posting here, It would help a lot if people were contributing to the actual content of the post instead of just arguing if it is a good post or not, that would be even more useless than posting in a quit useless topic.

It's wrong to say only 1 post made an explanation as to why their top 5 is the way it is. I did explain why there was 3 songs from the same Forbidden album in my top 5, as well as highlighting the fact that my itunes has been reset 3 times since I started using it. I fail to see how that counts as "spam"... Especially when lots of actual spam elsewhere on the boards is tolerated.

It's not spam, so much as this thread is just largely gearing that way. the only discussions at any point have been a clarification of a media player and my being a prick. one user expanded upon the actual songs on his list, and no one has actually even commented on anyone else's list - at least as of the time i started posting this. even the OP evaded the questions i posed him in an effort to be cheeky. so as best i see, this thread is just people listing songs.

I understand that this thread is losing relevance for people and is at risk at being locked out just because people are "listing" songs as opposed to talking about them in greater detail, but hopefully my post is deemed acceptable. 1. I Am The Wooden Doors - Agalloch (1,855 plays) Thoughts: I remember last year I was recording one of my very first harsh vocal covers with this song. I was so proud of that cover and the positive reception that it received that I could not help but listen to the original song over and over. I lost track of how many times I was listening to it, and behold, I have the amount of times I played it in the parentheses above.

I think it was either Slaughter of the Soul or Blinded By Fear, with around 100-200 plays each. Rammstein's Engel had over 200 plays too. But I have a really bad tendency to rewind a song whenever it hits a slow spot or before it reaches the very end, so I've likely played most of my favorites a hundred times over.
