Fertile Green doesn't sound really all that good. The main riff (when audible) feels extremely recycled from "Waste Of Tiamat". I'm not so much into this mixing where everything is cranked, leaving no room for any of the subtleties they threw into their previous albums. Some people like that, not so much myself.

The more that is revealed about this album, the less optimistic I become.

Oh god. This is fucking ridiculous. The production is finally back on after the lackluster affair from the previous release (Snakes for the Divine) and the riffs are some of the best the band has ever put forward to record. This is one to hear, folks.

Listened to it maybe half a dozen times or so over the last two days and really like it a lot. might be up there with "Death Is This Communion" as my High On Favorite.

The solo in King Of Days is pure awesomeness.

I should probably listen to this.

ALSO may i just reiterate that King of Days is a prime-time, class-a, bona fide, earthquake causing, prefix-attaching motherfucking ROAD GRADER of a track. My highlight of 2012 so far. Yes i am easily pleased, and yes it feels great thank you

Because I puked up french fries due to the full glass of ketch-up.
(frankly the overwhelming pretentious bass rhythms really brought down the credits of all the good structures of other member's efforts)

Wimp.

It's the same thing High on Fire been releasing in the last decade. It's a good album and evidently, it's not your taste. Maybe you should try Sleep first, they're a little more accessible and easy to listen to.
