From Chicago, Illinois comes Novembers Doom, and with such a name no need to precise that Doom Metal is on the menu. However, the opening number sets the tone to a rather fast-paced album for Doom/Death standards. "To Welcome The Fade" features a strong lineup with Paul Kuhr , Eric Burnley , Larry Roberts and Joe Nunez . The four piece combo is not new to the scene, formed in 1989, their latest album is their fifth release. "To Welcome The Fade" was originally released through the label Dark Symphonies and it is graced by a tonic spirit that embodies Novembers Doom. Signed with The End Records this year, their new label decided to re-release the album in a 2CD format before the anticipated release of "The Pale Haunt Departure".

Why is this sitting on 7.9.. wow, too bad a lot of people won't get into this album at all because of it's low rating.

This deserves at least 8.5 imo

I agree. I feel a 7.9 is too low indeed and I would've expected that this has about an 8.5 rating here on MS (which I would probably give this album as well), as it's a really great album. Haven't listened to it in ages though.
