Highly doubt it. This is one of the most overrated bands on MS in my opinion

Haha I'm moderately looking forward to this one.

Tried listening to the debut again, but I got bored about halfway through the first song. This one will be even harder to please me I expect, but I hope the band has improved.

ok then how about tracks 4 5 and 7 are the highlights imo?

4 and 5 are definitely the highlights for me. And the only songs I'll ever revisit probably.

So ignore 28 percent of the album, track wise, not length? I once felt that way, but those first two tracks grew on me. I haven't listened to Portal of I in approx 3-4 months, but it's decent enough. I'm a personal fan of track 6- As Icicles Fall.

After multiple spins I downvoted it to a 9 since I realized it's not really a masterpiece. Then after even more spins the sound even got a bit annoying to me (for some reason) and downgraded it to an 8. Haven't listened to it in over a year and when I do I might downvote it yet again.

Despite all that I'm still a bit curious to hear their new effort.

Looking forward to this, do they have any singles or anything off it yet?

Haha yeah, sounds familiar. I really enjoyed their album at first but that enjoyment turned into annoyance really quickly for some odd reason.

Went to the listening party of Citadel today at Melbourne. The album was played twice.
As a fan of their first album I really liked with what I've heard.
I find that the the album is a bit to short, clocking at 49 min but at the same time I find that they sound tighter that their debut.
Quite possibly one of my top 10 of 2014.

That is a tad short. Like most I was expecting closer to an hour. Did you talk to them at all? I had a lengthy face to face experience with them and they were all such great people.

Yeah, I was expecting to be around an hour as well.
Not really. I saw Tim and Xen but they were talking to other people.
They were all very nice people but since I just didn't have any question to ask so I didn't talk to them.

This is so much more consistent than Portal of I. Bar some really standout tracks, the first album tended to bore me, this one kept my attention all the way through.

Yeah, the only gripe I had with Portal of I was the first track. It wasn't cohesive like the other songs. Other than that I loved Portal of I. I also love this new album. It's really amazing. I just wish there were 1 or 2 more songs...
