Rotting Christ - Early Works To Be Re-Released On Vinyl

Greek black metal pioneers Rotting Christ are approaching their 30th anniversary and Peaceville Records is set to release their early classic works on vinyl. The band's 1993 full-length debut, Thy Mighty Contract, will hit the stores on April 21st this year and it will later be followed by Non Serviam and the Passage To Arcturo EP. By the end of 2017, Peaceville Records also plan to release a compilation of demos and other rare goodies of the band's classic stuff from the late 80's and the early 90's era.

On the build up to Rotting Christ's 30th anniversary, Peaceville will finally release a special commemorative set in late 2017 featuring all of the aforementioned releases and more, along with a special 92-page book with text penned by UK-based "Cult Never Dies" author Dayal Patterson, documenting the classic years of the band and their rise to prominence in the black metal scene, recounted in the words of the members themselves, plus others connected with the scene.

Sakis comments: "We are truly honoured to present our early works on Peaceville, as we approach 30 years of Rotting Christ. These releases will cover the whole early years of the band, & the evolution of our eternal black abyssic cult. Support!"

Yep, very strong debut. The demos and Passage to Arcturo were also early signs of the great things that would come.
