Immortal - Release First Song From New Album
After a long drought, Immortal fans can finally hear some new music from the band. Now, the Norwegian black metallers are releasing the new record Northern Chaos Gods with Demonaz handling vocals and the first single was released today. The song premiere comes in form of a first digital single, and limited 7'' vinyl singles of the title track will be out on May 25th. Check out the album's eerie cold title track now and share your thoughts!

Sounds like it could be from Pure Holocaust (or a Darkened Norcturn Slaughtercult album). Vocals are a lot better than I was expecting, based on March Of The Norse.

Meh. It's seems like a step back for me. The last three Immortal CDs were incredible, and I hoped they would continue in the same vein. Even Abbath's solo band was a disappointment, in my opinion. True, it's only one song, but it seems like they are going back to the ol' blast beat type of style that kinda bored me. Immortal became and was a powerhouse, just before Abbath left, and now it seems they are taking two steps back, instead of continuing in the same direction. Just my two cents. Of course, the rest of the new album could be killer, but I think it will mirror this debut song.
