The word actually comes from bored nerdy guitarists sitting at home making music. Its the sound of a heavily palm muted down stroke on the guitar. It basically sounds like the word DJEN DJEN DJEN
But now it is all of those combine, the sound, the 7/8 stringed guitars to get a heavier palm muted sound, the polyrhythms and the meshuggah cock sucking

Sorathian Dawn. Found these guys while looking around Ouroboros info. Michael Conti and David Horgan from Ouroboros are in this band. Their debut just came out in in March. Good black/death metal.
