What!!! i was watching the release dates, and i found that Time is coming in september, wasn't suppose to come out on august?

There is no official date....it's rumored for a September release though. But Jari keeps delaying it because it needs to be DAMN PERFECT

Today I listened to their demo for the first time. And damn, it's awesome! Probably the best demo I've heard together with In Flames first from '93. The first version of Beyond the Dark Sun is just as good as the current one, better at some places. I especially like the "blackish" vocals on it. The intro to Winter Madness is very beautiful too, wish Jari would have kept that one.

I remember I didn't know who Wintersun were, but I downloaded this thing off Pirate Bay which was a dark, ambient package with some Drudkh, Agalloch and others, and Wintersun's self titled album was in there, and when I heard it I was blown away, it was the best album I had heard in a long time.

At first i thought that they are similiar to Children of bodom
but they are better

This band's tolerable.
I can only really listen to them when I'm in certain moods, they tend to bore me.

Maybe youre just not ready to understand their brilliance....:P not everyone can quite grasp the magnitude of how huge and epic and incredible their music is and how much more colossal it is than most metal ever created.

Oh and p.s its not coming out this year, its officialy 2009 now...which means 2015 more likely. Jari's mac probably also broke and then hes gonna forget to update his virus defs on Norton or whataver and he will prob lose all his work. But all this is just a ploy so we dont find out that hes actually spending his time in Ibiza raving..

We all know that it is true however.

I wouldn't be surprised if it came out in 2009 or later.

I just hope it is amazing when it comes out.

It better be amazing considering how long it's taking them to make.

I love this album as well. Did the band break up?

I live in Australia, and we, the non-European country that we are, do not have awesome Eauro music. So I am forced to order CDs from overseas it sucks! I have been waiting 3 weeks already and it still hasn't come! Grrr. Wintersun + Ensiferum = Orgasm

That sucks... I can't wait ! He's so obsessed with perfection that I sometimes fear that he will never make it, work again and again endlessly, never manage to be satisfied and the sun has time to explode and swallow us until he is ! It's a miracle that they managed to publish their first album.... I really hope we won't lose them.

Well maybe they are actually creating time so, for us its a long long time, because we are mortals. Or maybe when you die in a heroic way, Time is the music that you hear while you walk through the Bifröst (rainbow bridge). Who knows..... there are many legends

Wintersun is pretty good, but they are somewhat flawed...I mean, I can listen to them, but I'd rather pick Ensiferum or Eluveitie or something like that.

Beyond the Dark Sun is such an amazing song, my ears almost started bleeding from the pure awesomeness.

I must say, the more I listen to them the more I enjoy them...I like them way more now, definitely a great band

Yeah, well thats the problem, people usualy give it just quick listen, and say "blaah, 'nother Children Of Bodom.." which they deffinitely AREN'T!!

100% agree! I never understood this comparison. To me, Wintersun doesn't sound at all as Children Of Bodom... I cannot hear any similarity in those bands.

Well, for me they DID sound like COB, but only for maybe, 5 minutes of quick listen through the album.... And later.... Damn!
