Completely agree! the great voice of black metal, the great ALDRAHN has finilly returned. can't wait for this!

Lets see what they can do some years after!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to it!

Fucking masterpiece. Their best, no wonder.

Challenging, versatile, at times even frustrating. But this is one hell of a pleasing record. There's so much going on all the time, but it all seems to flow together in a very consistent way. Each song develops its own meaning and general tone, but I especially love the more progressive structure of "God Protocol Axiom" and "Architect of Darkness", as well as the monologue style of spoken-word, making the songs themselves seem more like acts of a play. Certainly one of 2015's best albums.

Wondered why I took this off my list after seeing all the praise. Now I remember. I guess I just don't get it. Maybe it will grow, but I think A Forest of Stars did the theatrical vocals more effectively than this.

Musically this is quite good but the vocals totally ruin it. My God are they horrendous.

Thoise are horrendous as well and the music is even actually quite totally average

The metal sounds great, but why does the vocalist sound like Mr. Blobby.. I can't take this album seriously at all.

An enthralling piece of work for sure. 666 International is still my go-to DHG.

I love myself some good creative atmospheres, but in all honesty... this isn't really doing anything for me. Even though all these comments and reviews make it seem perfect for me, here I am wondering if there's something I'm missing.

One of the best 5 albums in 2015. Hey, this is not possible to humanly equalize. Originality, execution, weirdness, madness, skill, passion, love, darkness, vanguardism.

I've really tried to like it so many times, but it was a chore: it's immensely bloated and there are tons ideas thrown everywhere yet I couldn't find any fil rouge among them. Just too much for me. Also the vocals were sometimes terrible. Meh.

Huge album in many ways. Great stuff.

How does this musical masterpiece get a 7.9 and generic melodeath bands get 8-9s. Seriously.

I really liked Black Medium Current so I picked this up hoping I'd like it too.
Nope.

When this album is metal it's mostly full throttle blast beat black metal, otherwise the music is mostly meandering acoustic/jazzy weirdness, there isn't much in between. Even with all the weird stuff in the album the songs have too much of the same things going on in all of them for me to really differentiate them, especially the repetitive slower acoustic guitar plucking. That makes the album surprisingly uninteresting.

The vocals where he's pretty much just talking aggressively/shouting are a deal breaker for me too. It's way too high and dry in the mix which could have been easily fixed if not for his weird and sometimes outright bad delivery. Sometimes the vocals are ok but more often they're not.

This album does have some cool instrumentation though. The bass and drumming really stand out in a lot of parts. It was a good effort but I find the writing and execution lacking. Each song had at least one part I liked but that's not enough for me to suffer through the rest of the album again.
