I'm writing an article on it too.

Sounds retarded (not the music, the name)... Why can't we not keep the grindcore tag since that's what it is anyways? Just more punky, that's all.

I actually named a metal band. About 15 years ago some guys from my town started a terrible quality metal band and asked me to come up with an English name. I submitted about 10 suggestions and they settled for Bullet in the Head. Even though I stole it from that Rage Against the Machine song, I think it was a good name for a metal band. Sadly, the guys were much more interested in getting wasted than in making music, so the band vanished soon afterwards.

The tag "powerviolence" sounds like someone took power metal and grindcore and tried to combine them.

Off the top of my head, I think I'd come up with a name like Nyctophobia or Misophotos (Fear of the night, Hater of Light, respectively). I'm not that good at Greek, so I have no idea if that makes any sense, but hopefully putting random prefixes and suffixes on cool words to make them mean something metal-ish would work.

It's a while I'm thinking about an idea of having a band named ,Iran Maiden, a tribute to Iron Maiden, I wish I could have the right instrumentalists who are motivated enough to start this.

seriously, what is your problem with "newborn" ? you fight so much against this name ... I mean, yeah it's obviously sick but the phrase like this punches a stamp in your brain you won't forget too soon. on the other hand, "corpse porn" is quite impossible with a reborn person.

I always thougth of Magrudergrind as being Grind-Thrash

Cybersonic Superchrist. It sounds awesome and its not like bands haven't been named after other people's albums before. Holy Onslaught sounds good, too (taken from a line the Templar says on Diablo 3).
