Frankly, I find it very hard to believe that there is a user of this forum who is older than 11 years and who has never heard of The Wall and West Germany/East Germany.

What you certainly didn't understand is the situation with Dynamo Dresden. Yes, many supporters of the club suffer a fetish-like attraction to the swastika, in particular the entire fanclub fraction "Faust des Ostens" (Fist of the East) is affected. Because they are scummy fascists. Period.

I find that I don't usually like any bands with "For The", "Of The", "For My", and have tended to not check them out assuming they are probably metalcore, or just shit.
I've only been caught out once when the band actually turned out to be good. "Wolves In The Throne Room".

Children Of Bodom was also an early exception.

Harakiri For The Sky is ok. But after seeing them live I've been turned off.

Truth be told I don't even like the name "Wolves In The Throne Room" sounds quite cheesy.

I checked only one album from Harakiri and it's not worth it, they don't justify their time.

if you read how the band started, it's a parody band some musicians in a death metal band (LOL), make fun of power metal.

So yeah, it's funny!

They are one of my top 3 bands but Every Time I Die. Best band, terrible name ha.

Jumpin' Jesus. They played pretty decent old-school death metal back in the day, but that dumb name is the only thing anyone ever remembers about them.

Metalcore/deathcore is full of bands with shitty names. I like FFAA, but that's a bad band name.

There's this nz BM band called Unimpressed

We've once ended up with an wierd name, just because we had a first show before we had a cool band name.

Needed something real badass and were not satisfied with anything that came in our minds. Smart as we are, we decided to postpone that decission. Told the promoter to use our bass players nickname on the bill: Action Bass Tom with band

Big mighty mistake: on the posters and flyers it was written in one word Actionbasstomband , the evening went down legendary and afterwards there was no way to get that changed again !

Looking back, I learned to love that name and becoming proud of. But hell, weve ended up with it because we wanted to have a brutal and great one 😆
