Depressive black metal, Electronica , Shoegaze :O
Can those genres really cooperate and make good music? Oh yes! And the answer is named Germ!
This successful attempt of mr Yatras will touch every fan of each one of those genres. Synths and electronics are perfectly blended in this album. Drum and guitar work is something that reminds of Woods of Desolation (Yatras was a past member there). Screams are expressing and powerful. Clean vocals is the only weak spot of this album. They are well arranged but not that well performed. His voice reminds me of Pasi's Koskinen but not in this level.

This looks like the blue print for my perfect album, shoegaze, black metal and electronica? SOunds great to me on paper, but this album sure as hell does not deliver. poor vocal work, and way too much electronica. It's almost drone like in its repetitiveness. Very boring.

Excellent album, the depressive screams blend in perfectly with the space atmosphere of the key boards, very unique

I'm going to check them out though, I liked the idea of Germ, but it never really clicked with me. Maybe they'll be more up my alley.
