Solid work, but entire album looks weaker than previously presented single "Cracks In The Pyre" which is HUGE

I have to admit this took a bit of getting into for me, I found it a wee dreary at times, and some of the song structures were kind of bland, but it has grown on me. There's absolutely no denying these individuals have some serious talent behind them, their tremendous musicianship carries the album through, the drumming and bass in particular is fantastic, the riffs are a wee bit harder for me to get into though.

And yes the final track "Cracks In The Pyre" has some stunning melodies, I particularly like the opening melancholic acoustic passage.

Really awesome album. The post brings catchy melodies and the sludge brings heaviness and dissonances.

I like this less than Mire, but it's still a great record. I really hope these guys get more recognition, such a unique sound.
