I can't be the only one who works out here on Metalstorm.ee haha, so let's here it, when you guys go to the gym what do you turn to on your iPod??And if they help working out for any particular reason you can list them or talk about them Personally, three bands I go to: Gamma Ray, Slayer, and Exodus...sometimes Edguy. Edguy and Gamma Ray are just uplifting and really bring your spirits up so thats good for running and doing stairs.

While Slayer and Exodus, Tom Araya and Rob Dukes should be personal trainers with the way they yell at you while you do those bench presses haha

So anyone else?

I use Bullet For My Valentine, Sabaton, Gojira, Battlelore, and Turisas. Five completely different bands, completely different styles, but all of them serve to keep me moving ( most of my exercise involves running. Tennis conditioning.) with their quality. I like BFMV's and Sabaton's speed, while Gojira, Battlelore's, and Turisas's heaviness keep me going.

I don't have favorite work out bands. I'm a cyclist and when I'm training on my own I tend to change my music a lot. At this moment I've got Melechesh, Oranssi Pazuzu, Kreator, Deicide, Vital Remains and Sodom on the I-pod, but next week it will be something else.
I play football in the weekend and since 2 years we have a big speaker with cd player for warming up and celebrating after the game. Every week I bring some cd's to the game. I started with some "listenable" things like Sabaton, Judas Priest, AC/DC...but now it's Destroyer666, Kataklysm or Rotting Christ...Not everyone is amused with it but fuck 'em.

For me, needs to be something fast when lifting weights. Heavy helps too, although that seems to be less important. Children of Bodom is particularly good for feeling pumped up. Early Amon Amarth is too. Stuff like (early) Nightwish and Dark Moor works also, just have to skip the ballads.

I find myself going to Wodensthrone a hell of alot, and Wolves In The Throne Room aswell. They both seem to accompany running quite well. In I'm in the boxing gym I tend to go for some "core" Agnostic Front is a favourite.

I like heavy and melodic metal when working out; Death, grind, extreme just doesn't cut it for me: it has to be music that has melody/groove/beat; working out is almost every time by numbers / repetitions: 1-2-3-4 again 1-2-3-4, etc

Anything fast and heavy, and well produced enough for me to be able to actually hear the riffs in a loud gym. No swedish death unfortunantly The chainsaw production makes the riffs sound to muffled when theres all the backround noise around.
