The Black Dahlia Murder and Skeletonwitch way back in like November was the last really good one I missed out on. Was extremely bummed about it too.

So, in other words you didn't miss it, because you actually didn't want to go?

Oranssi Pazuzu, because I was poor.
About a dozen local gigs, because I was lazy.

I missed Mastodon and Kvelertak a month ago (or so) for the same reason.
Stupid memory.

I blame my brain. I think it's because I only discovered Nadja were playing in my town within a week before they actually were. I don't think my memory likes short term stuff.

My problem was the opposite. I knew well in advance but had exams to focus on nothing going on in my life so I actually have no excuse. Kinda kicking myself over that too. Even though I couldn't care less about Gojira, Kvelertak and Mastodon are some of my favorite bands these days.

Well wouldn't call this a miss; would be a waste of time if you actually went!

Extreme Noise Terror, Rompeprop, plus the best local bands nowadays (Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, Trinta & Um, The Quartet of Woah!, Besta).
Some friends won their way to the finals of a national competition to perform for a spot in one of Portugal's biggest Music Festival. I've decided supporting them by being there was more important than my only shot at seing ENT live. Plus, their bass player was my ride, he was upset as well.

Deafheaven, they were literally playing just down the street from where I live, but I had to go to some stupid mothers day thing and make cards instead. FUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Also missed Kyleasa because when they came the person I was planning on going with was on a softball trip and they were too far out of the way (geographically) to go to on my own, Megadeth because Dave Moustain is a tour canceling dick, and Iron Maiden, because while Adrian Smith gave my dad ticket's after interviewing him for his visa, he was legally forced to turn the tickets down. I've never actually gotten to see a metal band, my luck has been terrible.

Bumping because I'm really annoyed at myself.
So Tesseract and Animals as Leaders were playing on Monday. I saw it advertised and was interested, but ignored it because I wasn't sure if I'd be in the area when they played. Turned out I was, but I only remembered the gig the day before... after it had sold out.
The real kick in the teeth is that Insomnium, a band I wanted to see even more, are playing tomorrow and I've done the exact same thing, word for word. Knowing my luck, the next time I get to see them will be when Daniel Tompkins leaves Tesseract again and Insomnium finally put out a bad album.

Opeth last week or so. I had just seen Steve Hackett three days before so I didn't feel like driving up to LA again, and I didn't have much money or time to get another ticket for them. At least I was able to see them last year though.

Hah, I used to live in Atlanta. It was the best time of my life for metal concerts.
Then I went back to Brazil.
The last gig I lost was The Bunny The Bear because I just found out on the same day it was happening. If I had rushed with luck I could have seen it but it was too much effort... I still wish I wasn't that lazy on that day though

Ha, is a small world---is cool you used to live in Atlanta....I have never been to Brazil, always wanted to go to Rio...Yup, sometimes I regret things I did in the past...you really did not have much time to prepare if you found out the day it was happening..Yeah, I would appreciate learning about some bizarre music...Thanks!!

It sucks... right?
