Cowboys From Hell gets my vote. Ah, and first 3 Pantera albums are not Glam, are Power. And i like them.

Cowboys from hell with Vulgar Display of Power coming in right behind. Pantera has always sounded very...electric, to me. This being the best example of that...

//I think Far Beyond Driven owns!! Every song on that album is unique and nothing repeats itself. I think that was done in their prime and is overall there best album overall because of consistency. You cant go wrong with this one. By the way, i hate Black Sabbath but i do love the cover of Planet Caravan they did. For some reason the vocals and the guitar tone is really awesome//

Cowboys From Hell was the only Pantera album that ever did much for me. All their other releases can't touch the Crown Royal soaked aggression on this one. Plus it has all my favorite Dime riffs.
Some of their live work might match Cowboys From Hell, but I don't think anything they ever put on tape could beat it.

I like The Great Southern Trendkill...Floods and Drag the Waters are just so good.
Coming in a very close second would be Vulgar Display of Power.

I'd have to say Cowboys, followed closely by Vulger Display of Power, just because Dime rules on both those first 2 releases.

Fiorst 2?
Cowboys From Hell was Pantera album nr. 5 and Vulgar Display Of Power was nr. 6. And Dimebag played on the first four as well.

I personally like Vulgar Display of Power.. Easily I can explain, since I'm not expert in Pantera's music, I just like some of their most famous songs. And I found Mouth of War, Walk and This Love on this album so I chose this one. Also Cowboys From Hell is a great album especially Cemetery Gates, But after all VDP > CFH

What do you mean a hard listen? Like it's a complicated album for you?
