perhaps what i found most amusing about her was the fact that while Angela looks like a biker and dresses up for the metal part, and most of the other women i've seen pics/clips of in extreme metal or metal in general do as well, Grace just looks like the shy girl in jeans and a tee-shirt in the back of your college lecture hall. Give her a mic and put her in front of a metal band and all hell break's loose.

and fwiw, her live performance was even better/stronger/more forceful than on the studio clips on their myspace page. no studio magic there, she's got the pipes that kill.

Girl sounds good - I like song "Corrosion".

I agree, its a nice sounding band. I just have a hard time listening to them because they seem to exploit the whole "We're unique because we have a pretty girl in our band" shtick, its really unnecessary for them considering they have a decent sound regardless. The whole "Metallic Kitty" stage name, and the fact she had a barbie-type doll made of her is a bit too far IMO.

Anyone here ever listen to Ludicra? They're a California based Black Metal band fronted by a chick and they're pretty good. They are signed on Alternative Tentacles, a label owned by the one and only Gello Biafra. I've been a fan since my sophmore year of Highschool. Check em out.

By the way, here's their myspace. I don't think they have it on there anymore, but the song "In Heat" is awsome.

I listen to them almost daily since seeing them open for Nile!
Even punch up their myspace at work and play it!

I think Walls of Jericho and The agonist hasn't been named, but I don't really enjoy their stuff. The Agonist have some cool stuff but not more than that.

Hey Im searching for a band with female vocals that mix female clean vocals with harsh and/or growl. I have found one song that seams to be what im looking for, but its just in the beginning of the song and the rest of the band kind of suck.

Far and away the best for me is Abnormality. Mallika Sundaramurthy does such a good job I don't even care that she's a woman doing death metal growls, etc. Really quality vocals for any death metal, let alone a female voice behind the mic. Great band and I'm really looking forward to their full-length album. The EP 'The Collective Calm in Mortal Oblivion' is excellent.

Haven't heard a lot yet from them. I'll look into it though, soon. Cerebral Bore was supposed to play with Hate Eternal and others a few weeks ago but had problems with their work visas and didn't show up for the show.

Oneleir (spelt right? the frowny clown from Darkened Noccturn Slaughtercult) and Runhind not gonna bother trying to spell last name from Thorr's Hammer are my favorites. I regard Cadaveria as a female Ihsahn. Not sure if it still counts, but I also really like Dominique Persi from Stolen Babies.
