I don't know about that! You're a year younger than my mom (sorry to make you feel old ) and you're posting on a metal board. My grandparents (who are 65 btw) still listen to what they listened to when they were younger (rock) and they like newer rock as well...and some metal! None of them have tats though.

Same goes with my dad...he's 52 and still listens to The Tubes, The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop and all that other stuff from the 70s. My dad has no band tats, but two others. Funny enough, one was for my mom...they're divorced now so you are definitely right about people coming and going (It wasn't her name but a symbol that represented her)

As for me, I've loved Metallica for over half my life now and that says something. I don't regret getting the Metallica star on my shoulder and don't think I ever will! And besides, it represents who I've been for a very long time anyways.

I guess if you really like a band and have for a long time then it's ok. When I got the Metallica star, the thought of getting it done had been in my head for about 5 years...it wasn't spur of the moment. But then again, the main reason I didn't get it right away was cause I was too young but at least that gave me time to think about it!

I'm not entirely certain, don't keep up with Dez anymore - not for many years but, a few weeks ago I checked out the Devil Driver myspace page and it looks like his arms are fully covered now, possibly re-worked in some areas so, he may have gotten that covered up. I imagine if nothing else, it's a reminder of when he started out, what he came from and the success he has now...I still can't believe Phil Anselmo said DD is like the new Pantera, imo they pale in comparison of what Pantera did.

I need more tattoos damnit.. get the other half my arm sleeved one day, then start on the next.

The sleeve on my right arm is entitled "heavy metal soup". It's got demons and coffins and a "v" guitar and hands putting up the horns, and a lung. All to basically signify that you must "live, breathe and die metal". Not sure how to get pics in the message here. Anyone help and I'll put it up?

What do you have on your sleeve so far? I want to get the whole sleeve as well, but I don't how. I already have a Thor on my shoulder/upper arm, but I don't know what to do with the rest of the arm. I just don't want a whole bunch of stuff without any coherence or anything. It'd end up looking like a wall full of graffiti... not cool.

hahahaha, first of all this is not a public thing (at least for me), ppl can fuck off when they see tattoos. secondly this is a tattoo which is on my chest and it means its not for POSE, thirdly it has a good meaning! it has a nice lyrics and Im in love with its mean and I used it as a nick since I was young. it has a lot of meanings and one of them is my anti religious thoughts.

I think your words matches with ppl who make love tattoos or some meaningless drawings! (at least when I see them, and maybe they are too personal either!) but anyway, as I said, PPL can fuck off when they dont like things which are not their job.
