This is a thread about bands like: Manilla Road, Agent Steel, Jag Panzer, Cirith Ungol, Circle II Circle, Whilplash, Forbidden, Attacker, Deadly Blessing, Catch 22, Imagika, Hammers of Misfortune, Liege Lord, Apollo Ra, Pharoh, Q5, Crimson Glory, etc.
I've got the Beyond Fear album and I can say it's one hell of an album, if you into old school heavy metal, but with an up to date sound you've got to deffenetly get it.
What do you thing of Midnight's return to Crimson Glory? Any expectations?
Any news from the Agent Steel camp?

Now here are some really great news: "LETHAL, the legendary power/progressive metal band that released the classic "Programmed" album, as well as the critically acclaimed "Your Favorite God" EP and "Poison Seed" releases, have broken 10 years of silence and reformed. LETHAL have reunited with the "Your Favorite God/Poison Seed" lineup of Tom Mallicoat (vocals), Dave McElfresh (guitars), Eric Cook (guitars), Jerry Hartmann (drums), and Glen Cook (bass). LETHAL is currently rehearsing for upcoming live dates, as well as writing material for their new album to be released in early 2007 (with a full tour to follow). The Kentucky-based LETHAL was founded by Tom Mallicoat and the Cook brothers, Eric and Glen. In 1990, after the arrival of drummer Jerry Hartmann, Metal Blade Records released their debut album, "Programmed," which was instantly proclaimed a progressive/power metal classic the world over. In 1994, LETHAL independently released "Your Favorite God," a 5-song EP (featuring new guitarist David McElfresh) which immediately sold out. Your Favorite God showed LETHAL going in a heavier direction, with such outstanding songs as "Waiting On The Kill" and "Hard To Breathe." LETHAL's last release, the album "Poison Seed" (1995), set new standards for progressive metal bands with its sheer musical brilliance, which featured "Down," "Walking Wounded," and the title track. And soon, their forthcoming live performances and new album will solidify LETHAL's place amongst the power/progressive metal elite." I can't wait for this to come true!

@Hellish Star: I liked the last Metal Church but to me it seems that they kind of lost substance in their last 2 releses, not that they aren't good, but it seems that something is lacking in matter of compostion. I absolutley love the remake of the clasic "Watch the Children Pray". I'm now waiting egarly for the latest BLS (I got quite addiceted to them lately). Another thing I found on my likeing was Pissing Razors.

Ah, back to the glory thread of the U.S. power metal scene. Oh, about 2 years ago, Hellish Star (then known as ricopeg) and myself used to have such good conversations in this thread. So anyways, on to my contribution to this thread....... For fans of Enforsaken, unfortunately they have decided to break up, and their final show will be in Chicago this August. I have gotten the oppurtunity to meet the band members on a couple of different occasions, and they were all really cool guys. It's a shame that they have decided to separate, especially since they are extrememly local for me. You can check out what Steve Stell says here : http://www.metalstorm.ee/events/news.php#2816 I've gone through and read the posts, and I'll mention two bands that I haven't seen mentioned yet. The first is a bit more well known, and they are Winter's Bane. A lot of people know about them because of Ripper Owens' contributions on the album Heart of a Killer. The album is very good, and a concept album at that. They have a couple of demos, including Season of Brutality, and two other full length albums, Girth, and the recently released Redivivus. The guitar work of Lou St. Paul is very strong with some great licks to it. You can check out some songs here at http://www.myspace.com/wintersbane The other band is one that I've been really high on for some time, and that is Crescent Shield. They recently got signed, and their debut album The Last of My Kind is supposed to be out in late October. The members have a lot of experience in the field of traditional and power metal. But don't just take my word for it, go and check it out for yourself. Two places to check them out are http://www.crescentshield.com/ and www.myspace.com/crescentshield I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do.

Cresent Shield got signed? Wow, that's good news because these guys sounds amazing... About WInters Bane; the Redivivus album is still the best album in 2006 for me. It's a pity I bought the US version because on the European version there are some bonustacks. Damn....
