Nightwish - The Crow, The Owl and The Dove has been leaked
It was released via Donald Duck Finland, so it's not a leak actually.
Yeah sure! commercial reasons!

One word made up: "Theatrical Metal", a pretty cool album with some awesome songs and the Orchestral Parts are more prominent and sounds more beautiful than ever! still need to listen to it fewer times though...

The production is incredible... of course it's VERY cheesy, but it's some nice cheese there. Going to enjoy putting Last ride of the Day in my car...

Storytime is great and Ghost River even better, but the rest of the album is filled with ideas that are either tragged out too long or not blent together very well. Still, I enjoyed this album, but it's not worthy of my little top ten of 2011. ^^

1. 'Taikatalvi': a very nice intro, to prepare the senses
2. 'Storytime': popish, the commercial song
3. 'Ghost River': a very cool chorus
4. 'Slow, Love, Slow': or should I say 'Die, Love, Die!' What the fuck is this'?! Worst song EVER!!! This song doesn't deserve to be neither a B-side.
5. 'I Want My Tears Back': IMO the best song, I like the folk vibe
6. 'Scaretale': it really scared me, it left me lost, confused, didn't like it
7. 'Arebesque': nice instrumental
8. 'Turn Loose the Mermaids': the ballad
9. 'Rest Calm': it gets nicer by the end
10. 'The Crow, the Owl, and the Dove': good
11. 'Last Ride of the Day': very good, second best IMO
12. 'Song of Myself': the first part (sung) is good, the second is, I don't know, kinda sad
13. 'Imaginaerum': a medley of all album, unnecessary

I'd just listen to the album and wow, simple wow. I can't say anything else right now. Simply Nightwish more solid than ever.

01. Taikatalvi - Probably the best intro I have ever heard.
02. Storytime - Still one of the best of NW singles.
03. Ghost River - The way Anette sings "Snowhite" before first chorus is just orgasmic. Amazing theatrical song.
04. Slow, Love, Slow - I never thought I would ever hear NW like this, but differently than others, I found it perfect and amazing. I love Tuomas for his experiments.
05. I Want My Tears Back - Catchy, cheese. Reminds me a bit of "Dead to the world". Great tune.
06. Scaretale - My favorite! Musical, rock opera. Call it whatever you want, but this is magical.
07. Arabesque - Trailer music style. Great.
08. Turn Loose The Mermaids - I have a thing about these two ballads (with 10th song). It's not bad, but not reach the whole level of the album.
09. Rest Calm - Could be much better.
10. The Crow, The Owl And The Dove - -"-
11. Last Ride Of The Day - After some empty whole with last 3 songs, this song continues with top level.
12. Song Of Myself - Wtf with the last 6 minutes? It was unnecessary. Different than other long songs of NW. Choir was amazing, but other parts just average.
13. Imaginaerum

Really? I find some fantastic lines on those 6 min. No music, No metal, but a demostration of how Tuomas understand art and poetry. I like it.

Well, about the last one, that's not weird, since this is a soundtrack for a movie, the last one belongs to the credits I think.

A nice album, better than Once. Annette still annoys me at some moments, just like Tarja did, but she and Marco make a much better duet now. There are some silly moments, some unnecessary stuff (the kids choirs on every other song) but it is quite enjoyable and has a number of nice hit, simple songs.

Well if you don't like jazz or its influence on this track, then this is clearly not enough to make this one the worst song "ever". Try to think outside of your tiny box...

'Slow, Love, Slow' is clearly the best song of the album.
Yes, I didn't hear the whole album yet. But that was refreshing.
Anette's voice really suites the jazzy style.

Only 8.7 rating on the release date? And this is even going to decrease significantly... Well, I knew right after the first listen to "Storytime" that the album will be pretty average.
If I don't like Storytime at all, will I miss anything if I won't try to listen to the whole album?
Well, actually its got better after that, specially "Ghost River" and "Scaretale", which have a quite interesting atmosphere (Scaretale almost cross the line to some kind of Avant Garde metal...). However, I don't know, it's a long album and there are some really boring moments...
