7,5 euros for a liter of beer? Is that fraud or what? In Latvia i can buy much more for the same price (if i buy in a shop some cheap beer then i could buy ~ 8 liters of it...). I understand that beer always is more expensive in such events but 7,5 euros is too much anyway.
Bye Wacken, you won't wait me this year (or just reduce beer price...:))

Hmmm... why dont you buy at market in the city its only 0,80 euro for beer. there is no limitation of food and drink in camping area + if you buy only one beer at festival you get wacken glass and then you can put your drink in it

Then it's ok. In fact i don't need so expensive glass.

Then there's no point of buying it. Buy cheap beer in shop and get one glass in that garden.

The only bad thing with buying beer in the Wacken village is the fact that it isnt cold. And believe me I would most definitly pay 7.5 euro fro 1 litre of beer than 2 euro in the village if the 7.5 euro one is Cold. Cold beer = orgasm, warm beer = ..........

Damn, 7,5 euros for a beer! And people complain that London is an expensive place to drink! Sneaking beer into festivals is great though.

And Basso it looks like you owe me on expensive beer!

Yes, it's so. It's not exact value but only approximate because exchange rate changes very often.

It is 4.5 Euro for that fuckin beer glass. "only" 3 euro for the beer. 4.5 ? price is only needed once if you aint to clumsy and throw your glass around to often.

I think you missunderstood it because Latvians use , instead of . (like Americans do) in such values.

Read replies above. There was written something like a band can't play 2 years in turn in Wacken. Amon Amarth played past year and that means they have to skip this one.
But that's a sad fact because one of my life big goals is to see them live.

Maybe it's just that metal = overpriced beer. Whenever you go to a concert at The Hifi in Melbourne, it's something like $7+ for a basic stubbie. I think $6 a bottle is the cheapest for beer there. It's $4 for a bottle of water, and you aren't allowed to bring any drinks of your own in :-S And most of the shows in Melbourne are at The Hifi, so it's not great for drinking. Lucky it's a pretty good venue otherwise.

When I saw Kreator a few months ago I met a friend's friend there and he was wearing a Wacken '05 shirt. We thought he must've got it off eBay or something, but it turns out he actually went there! Lucky bastard! It's hard for any Australian to get to Wacken what with the half a world trip and everything. And we don't have such festivals over here, so we're a bit shit out of luck that way.
