Some give the reason of this due the instability in the oil company regions especial in Iran , Iraq and most Easian countries. This will effect the economy of the whole world.
Electrical bills , petrol and many items realted to the "black gold" are raiseing up to reach an unexplainable prizes. It is about time that our world do somthing about this . I never hope that one day the oil prizes will be back . It is the time to use energy beyound oil, like solar or wind energy. Not to mention the nuclear energy, but this one is more dangerous form of energy, although with modern technology , safety had much improve.
But still solar or wind energy are costly to produce energy. In this thread lets talk about , if its true or not that the oil prize is rasing cause of the instability in Iran or just an excuse to earn more money in the task of the oil company?

It is a shame that Iraq or such country have the domain in the world economy.Oil is a vital thing for all world, it is still the maygor factor for electrcity and many things, without oil our world would be different .

Account deleted Written by Lupas on 06.07.2006 at 18:39 wrong way round, throughout the ages countries with gold or bronze or iron or now oil get fucked from all sides over and over again. the key isn't top have great relations and trade, the idea is to keep them down so they don't use too much of it or else take em over and rape em. it has always been a problem for mineral rich countries. I even heard that World War I was due to oil, Germany was building a train track into British interests in Iran, so Britain invaded Iran to get rid of em and the war started. Sometime in the 50s Iran had democratic election where some guy got voted in on a landslide, but he wanted to nationalise the oil companies there. so, Britain and America decided to organise and fund a coup d'etat, the guy they chose to be the head of it won and formed a dictatorship. these countries aren't like this for no reason, they are constantly being interfered with so that control of oil is maintained

World domination for the win I guess... sigh stupid fucks.

i do agree that bustard bush has manupilated the oil company. I agree that the country from where oil is exrated shall be compansated and not manupilated from a stupid man in the interest of his ambitions.

An important word to remember while conisdering the price of oil is CAPACITY. Most people (here anyway) share a common belief that the reason they can get away with it is because amount of oil on the earth is scarce. This is ABSOLUTE bullshit. There is plenty of fucking oil. At least for us to use until the government can actually put real money into something more efficient. With countries like China becoming more and more powerful more people drive cars. More people need gas. The demand rate goes higher. This is simple to understand. Capacity has to do with the rate of which they can pump gas out of the ground each day. Since more people are driving, less people get to buy gas. If gas was cheap for a day, everyone would want to fill up their cars, boats, planes and even containers as much as possible. We would essentially run out of gas, until of course they brought the next shipment in. Hence the Capacity of gas is poor. Another misnomer, if you will is blaming good ole' George Bush. Man, I don't think ANYone I talk to likes this guy. I don't, he's obviously a blubbering idiot. But, I can assure you NOTHING would be different if he wasn't in office. Why? Because Kerry would be in office. And the foundation of Bush and Kerry's campaign's were both funded by the same exact fucking people. The politicians do exactly what the rich people say, because that's who pays them. So blaming Bush won't help with this one either, because 1. He's an idiot and 2. He's a greedy sonvbitch. What's the solution? I don't know we're pretty much fucked. I'm getting a motorcycle when I go back to school, that will help. Hybrid cars are a scam, because with the price of a hybrid car, compared to that of it's competitior of the same porportion, you only save money on gas after 5 years of having the car! I think that stat. might include oil changes as well. I'll tell you what it doesn't fucking include, REPAIRS! Companies obviously make cars that will fall apart ON PURPOSE so you have to replace bullshit parts on your cars that are twice as expensive, and can't do yourself...because cars are becoming more computerized. If you see this as somewhat of a conspiracy, fine...but try going 5 years of fairly-rigorous driving without needing a repair...it's tough. Not to mention hybrid's STILL RUN ON FUEL. I think the best solution, is to go smaller immediately. This way you still have cars that run on fuel, but they get damn good gas mileage. Just hope you don't get run over on the road by your grandma, who just recently purchased a Hummer, with the insurance money she recieved for needing a hip-replacement. Public transportation also helps in big cities. One thing's for sure, our grandkids are definitely fucked!

Oil prices are high for many reasons.first and foremost being fear 1. about $30 per barrel of oil is fear factor economists say. 2. Middle East tensions and threats of Iran cutting supply 3. China growing at 13% is eating up not only oil but other resources such as concrete, timber, and steel. 4. Speculators on the trade market drive the price higher. 5. Peoples buying habits with regaurds to the size of their vehicle. there are many more im sure but as the last post said the prez has little to do with the price of oil.

In Finland gas price is $1,80 (1,40?) a liter at the moment which is incredibly high. As many time mentioned here one of the reason is the situation in middle east, which is true, at least partly. Many economics say that the US' only reason to be in Iraq and middle east generally is to get the possession of oil over there, i don't know if this is the whole truth but let's assume it is.. now, I wonder what the price would be per barrel if western countries would just leave them be and pay the full price.. somehow i have a feeling "the full price" wouldn't be even half of what it is now.

Lets clear one thing up, one of the reasons for entering Iraq was definitely for oil. I don't think it was the main objective of president Bush, but he was definitely fed other issues by people like Mr. Cheney to make him less reluctant to enter. Before this year, Haliburton was the ONLY supplier of petrol for the entire US armed forces. How coincidental. Either way, we ARE in Iraq and a lot of Iraqi's are pissed. A lot of Iraqi's are happy as well. Mabye not happy, hopeful I should say. The price of oil isn't going down any time soon. The key is a fuel-efficient economy.

The failure is a given. It was a lost cause...perfect "you break it you buy it" scenario. Easy to go in and take destroy the country, but what now? It's a definite failure that I'm sure most Iraqi's are upset about...but there is always going to be some small group of people that are HOPEFUL there will be a US success. I forgot who the Iraqi politician I saw on the news the other day was, but he sounded hopeful. It's all such a blur...

What do you believe is stopping interests rates from rising in the US, despite its negative equity in its current account. No, lets put it another way - simple way - if you lived in a poor hut, few cultural achiements of present the mention, ancient customs and a unstable economic future; but, at your disposal lots of tradeable commoditys worth alot to admired and respected communitys with a bright a vibrant future. Where would you invest your money? Indeed where is all the money from oil going? Whoever guess's first is a rare and amazing thing on this serious discussions topic. But like usual this post will be ignored because it possibly contains - and ive given the biggest clues, spoken in the lamest syntax possible - too much difficulty in faculty coordination. Die.

I think that oil prize will be 100$/barrel. This is the prize they want . This will happen in about 2yrs . We are now in serious problems, nvermemos, . Here the prize of fuel is about 1euro per lt , and each month is getting up. Also the prize of the electrcity bill is raiseing above the sky. But wages remains the same .

The price of Oil? Food of course. the UN and Humanitirian rights groups are paying for there help with - Oil. not only paying for there help and food and there making tons of money as well. Not only that but there even taking money from the Iraqi oil to pay for transport of the oil, absurd isnt it? $69.4 billion only is the profit profit!!! of those two faced hippies, US and European goverments. so the Humanitirian rights cares for people, hey? or for money? what dont they help people in africa because theres no Oil there? Europe isnt different then the US, US takes Oil forcefully and Europe kisses arab countrys ass. even worst because there full of hypocrisy. my country is one of the countrys that suffers from kissing arab ass and siding of goverments, inculding one side criticism. I said something like "revenge", they(US, and main europe), tortured the arabian people, but they "don't know" that's arabians nations created something like OPEP, and controlled the price of the oil, if you look about the price of oil in 80's, you'll see that's the price was something like 3.00 U$$. But the crisis take a spatials proportions when exploded the golf war in end of 80's and the first half of 90's, but like the USA was IDIOT (sorry if I hurted some american), they don't know or don't observed that they needed of oil of arabia. And the arabia was very smart they created the OPEP, that makes a oil's price get a great rise, and this situation perpetues still existis until today. Look out when happens some event relationed of war on some arabias country, and you'll see the new cotation of oil. And the most american car's (and of other countries) "eats" very much oil, that's help the rise of price. And the arabians know about it. A great solution, it's do a research about alternatives type of fuels, example biodiesel, w/ almost all type of vegetable, can make an version of diesel (very cheap), and don't pollute the ecosystem, alchool, it's the same, and some fonts like gas metano ->CH4 (in any place where has sometype of reject you meet this gas).
