locall Folk metal band Thronar also have great batlle songs.

Amon Amarth have some really good battle songs, I love how some of their songs are litterally stories of Norse/Viking warriors in battle. My favourite would be Runes to my Memory.

Other than that, if you want to feel like more of a mature warrior, songs from Bathory's Hammerheart would do nicely. Warriors trudging into battle is some possible imagery you could associate with those songs. Particularly as the music would fit it, but the lyrics also might make you feel particularly patriotic towards metal. The "One Rode To Asa Bay" video could give you more ideas of just that.

yeah dude, that vid is one of the better low budget videos i've ever seen, with all those churches and forests, with the music to complement it perfectly.

Turisas - Battle Metal - is the most battle song ever so epic it really feels like a battleground

I can't believe I forgot about Hammerfall's "Destined For Glory", a truly epic and battle worthy song. The chorus is so ridiculous and corny... which makes it so good! Actually all the lyrics are corny. I hate power metal now but I still remember this one from back when I used to like Hammerfall. Anyone who hasn't heard it should give it a listen, even if it's just for a laugh:

I played a game of Risk while listening to Turisas' Battle Metal. Each conquest, each territorial campaign, every battle, every soldier's falling was highlighted by the epic and intense music.

Also Battle Metal by Turisas I guess, for obvious reasons.

Well Brocas Helm has a few, like "Into Battle"; "Dark Rider" and more.
You really can't forget Exodus "Metal Command".
Oh and no mention of Tyrant? Their first album is full of battle songs.

"Where Black Birds Cry" by Amon Amarth is just about battle. its nice. and if i would Sweden's King i chose this song as Swed's anthem .. this song makes my epic soul stronger.

yes, but the best part of the song is where "Have no fear of death when its the time, Odin will bring us back home when we die"
and so many other parts of the lyrics... that is a true epic.
