In the old forum there was a thread dedicated to mention and discuss by giving your views about the bands' DVD releasing. Since the creator did not take the time in bringing it alive again and since I am very fond of buying DVDs from bands I decided to do it myself.

My collection, to this very same day, consists of the following DVDs:

1) Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I (World Tour - 1992 Live In Tokyo)
2) Mötley Crüe - Lewd, Crüed & Tattooded
3) Slayer - War At The Warfield
4) Slayer - Still Reigning
5) Dream Theater - Live At Budokan
6) Black Sabbath - Never Say Die
7) Ozzy Osbourne - Live At Budokan
8) Cannibal Corpse - Monolith Of Death
9) AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip Live
10) Iron Maiden - Rock In Rio
11) Iron Maiden - The History Of, Part 1 The Early Days
12) Himsa - You've Seen Too Much
13) Metallica - Cunning Stunts
14) Sepultura - Chaos DVD
15) Soulfly - The Song Remains Insane
16) Ill Niño - Live From The Eye Of The Storm
17) Mudvayne - All Access To All Things
18) Cradle Of Filth - Heavy Left Handed & Candid
19) Cradle Of Filth - PanDaemonAeon
20) Cradle Of Filth - Peace Through Superior Firepower
21) Megadeth - Arsenal Of
22) Slipknot - Welcome To Our Neighborhood
23) Slipknot - Up To Our Necks
24) Slipknot - Disasterpieces
25) Lamb Of God - Killadelphia
26) Nightwish - End Of Innocence
27) Anthrax - Music Of Mass Destruction
28) Pantera - The Best Of, Far Beyond The Great Southern Cowboys Vulgar Hits

35) Metal Blade Records - Digital Video Destruction
36) Monsters Of Metal - The Metal Compilation
37) Monsters Of Metal - The Ultimate Metal Compilation Double DVD Vol. 2

Unoriginal copy:

38) Deep Purple - In Concert With The London Symphony Orchestra

Updates:

39) Moi Dix Mois - Scars Of Sabbath
40) Moi Dix Mois - Invite To Immorality
41) Arch Enemy - Live Apocalypse
42) Arcturus - Shipwrecked In Oslo
43) Emperor - Emperial Live Ceremony
44) Mayhem - European Legions Live At Marseille
45) Dimmu Borgir - World Misanthropy
46) In Flames - Used & Abused... In Live We Trust
47) Epica - We Will Take You With Us
48) Dissection - Rebirth Of Dissection

50) Children of Bodom - Chaos Ridden Years - Stockholm Knockout Live
51) Amon Amarth - Wrath of the Norsemen
52) Cannibal Corpse - Live Cannibalism
53) Metallica - Cliff 'Em All

I can say that all those DVDs I own are an enjoyment except for the DVD from Shadows Fall which was one of the greatest disappointments I have had in my life due to its lack of camera angles and sound quality. I also have some Dual Discs and bonus DVDs that come with albums but, since they are more like a bonus rather than an actual DVD, I decided to leave them behind for a fitting thread instead. Now, what do you have?

Hmmm, well, the stuff I got is this:

Dark Tranquillity - Live Damage (2003)
Dream Theater - Live At Budokan (2004)
Dream Theater - Scenes From New York (2001)
Edguy - Superheroes (2005)
Evergrey - A Night To Remember (2005)
Force Of Evil - Evil Comes ? Alive (2003)
G3 - Live In Denver (2004)
G3 - Live In Tokyo (2005)
Hammerfall - One Crimson Night (2003)
Iced Earth - Gettysburg (1863)
Joe Satriani - Live In San Fransisco (2002)
Joe Satriani - The Satch Tapes (2003)
Megadeth - Arsenal Of Megadeth (2006)
Metallica - Some Kind Of Monster (2004)
My Dying Bride - Sinamora (2005)
Opeth - Lamentations (2003)
Ozzy Osbourne - Live At Budokan (2002)
Queensryche - Operation Live Crime (2001)
Queensryche - Building Empires (2002)
Rage - From The Cradle To The Stage (2004)

Star One - Live On Earth (2001)
Steve Vai - Live At The Astoria, London (2003)
Testament - Live In London (2005)
Threshold - Critical Energy (2004)

My favorites of them would be Evergrey, Opeth, Testament, Satriani (San Fransisco), Dream Theater (Budokan) and Rage, in that order probably. Though other ones are quite good as well, and some aren't (Force Of Evil was kind of dull).

And I (pre-)ordered not too long ago the new Ensiferum and Arch Enemy DVD. Really looking forward to them, especially AE. Its set for release here on the 28th, this month. I think I'm gonna love that one, especially after having seen 'Dead Eyes See No Future' and 'Ravenous' on that extra little DVD that came with 'Doomsday Machine'. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out right here:

They finally arrived and damn, its good, havent gotten to Ensiferum yet, still watching AE

Oh yeah, if you are in the mood for great Russian Pagan female-fronted Metal, then check out Arkona, they have a great DVD for download at their site. Its really good quality, and definetly worth checking out. I should make a thread for them, but I'm a bit too lazy right now, that will come later probably.

650 MB version, better quality
290 MB version, still good quality

The links are taken from their official site, so not to worry about getting something weird or anything.

I bought Amon Amarth's- Wrath of the Norsemen today. For an Amon Amarth fan.....this is a must buy. I'm watched a few tracks and I believe it was worth the $15.00 I paid for it. It's 3 discs, 5 shows and some behind the scenes stuff I haven't watched yet.

My Arch Enemy DVD came in the mail and I have to say, it's really damn good. They play a good setlist and it was recorded when Christopher was still in the band. Great sound quality and the performance has a decent length. Thumbs up from me.

Yeah, its really a great DVD, for me probably already the best of the year. And I also like it a lot that Christopher was still in the band at that time, I like his playing and sound more than Fredrik, it fits AE better. I never got to see them live in that line-up, and now I sort of can. The extra's are also very cool, its nice that they did add a couple of live vids from some songs of 'Doomsday Machine'.

Everyone should get this DVD, its a gem

I saw them live with Christopher in 04'. I haven't had a chance to watch the extras yet, but I probably will today.

I have a question for you, where did you order the Ensiferum DVD from? I would love to get my hands on that.

Lucky you

I got it from large.nl, a dutch/belgian order service. There is also an international equivalent, http://www.emp-online.com/, but that will cost quite an amount of delivery costs to get it to the USA I guess, so you will so take a look at that.
