European label Lark Records released the album in December 1983, but its U.S. and Canadian release was delayed until January 1984 as to avoid confusion over with band's then-current album "Restless and Wild", which did arrive in the U.S., U.K. and Canada (and even some parts of Europe) in early 1983.
Two different remasters of this album exist, with different bonus tracks. The 2001 remaster, which is a part of Sony's "The Metal Masters Series" (this is the only Accept album from that series, though), contains the following bonus tracks:

Maybe when talking about the heavy metal genre our minds automatically remember England in the early '70s with Black Sabbath and in the early '80s with Iron Maiden and NWOBHM, but Germany has always introduced skilled bands to us. I don't want to remind you of the world wars and the general sense of competitiveness between these two countries, but for me, Germany was never less than England in heavy metal, and was the birthplace of one of the oldest and best bands in the genre. The famous, elder band Accept comes from Germany, a band with nearly fifty years of history in heavy metal music; we know well that Accept formed in 1968, first under the name of Band X, and except for a short time in the '90s leading up to its disbandment, always showed the highest quality of heavy metal. Maybe one of the reasons why the band waned after its golden age in the '80s, when they released unique albums like Breaker, Restless And Wild, and Metal Heart, was that the band changed styles to glam metal and released a frustrating album entitled Eat The Heat. I only recently realized this: the combo of Turn Me On / Losers and Winners is absolutely genius: Turn Me On ends with the chorus, then after 2 seconds' break then BAM that ungodly kickass riff from Losers and Winners.

After long consideration BttW sounds like the #1 Accept album to me. At least this is the album where most of the songs are good; the title track, "Fight It Back", "Head Over Heels", "Losers And Winners" and "Winter Dreams". There are also a couple of songs I'd never call great and the obvious filler "Turn Me On". Balls to the wall, man!

Impressive and great to sing along. Losers and winners, balls to the wall and London leatherboys are damn sweet songs.
---- You are not metal enough until you visit Kenya. The cradle of mankind, where man learnt first to work with stones and first enjoyed the sounds produced by banging stones which later influenced metal in all its sounds and genres.

Many hates tgis album even Beavs n buttheda creates, what a damesses. I liked older abit more, but this is classic metal peace in ethereally meaning. I enjoy every single song there. So far in early days accept wins over udo.

This must have been one of the first metal albums I bought. The latter half always felt more average and forgettable than the rock solid first half. What really makes this album for me is the perfect crispy clear production that even Accept or the professional team behind it themselves haven't been able to replicate.

Awesome (if a tad homoerotic) album! The title track and 'Head Over Heels' are the standout songs IMO.

Solid as a rock. The only song I can't stand is London Leatherboys, the rest is rocking. Love Child and Head Over Heels are two of the better tracks. The main riff to Balls to the Wall is among the most iconic heavy metal riffs
