Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?
Or they really like At The Gates.

Account deleted Written by Edmund Fogg on 13.09.2012 at 05:15 Yeah, look at that cover. YET another band stealing Beksinski's artwork, and one of his most popular ones too. That artwork is probably featured on a dozen albums across metal, if not more. Oh wait, looks like they had permission to use it and is actually a concept album based on it. Well shit me. I didn't listen to it though. Atmosblack = instant turnoff these days.

13.09.2012 - 19:00 Written by [user id=101272] on 13.09.2012 at 18:49 Yes it is. I don't know if it's a step up from their previous albums, but they're remained incredibly consistent. They just do this kind of groovy death doom better than most anyone at the moment. Written by Evil Chip on 13.09.2012 at 18:43 I'm not as much of a black metal buff as some here, and my opinions may be somewhat unorthodox. But the new Blut aus Nord (though only borderline industrial BM), A Forest of Stars and Alkerdeel (sludgy and raw) are the shit. Nachtmystium was positively received, managing to sound psychedelic and unique without resorting to gimmicks, but I wasn't amazed by it. Oh, and I almost forgot Merrimack and Reverence on the industrial BM field. Both are worth checking out.

13.09.2012 - 20:02 Written by [user id=4365] on 13.09.2012 at 14:58 Nailed it! The guy actually took the time to go throught all the legal process to acquire the right to use the painting as the cover of his demo and it's not just for shock value too. He actually built his Demo around that piece of art. So kudos for him for respecting another artists work. @Boxcar: Yeah drumming is obviously something to work on, but globally it's a pretty good and solid Atmo BM release.

Fairly sure I posted these ages ago but I'm rediscovering them again now and they really are amongst the nastiest, gloomiest sounding records I've heard this year, if not ever. Strangely, they both sound pretty similar. Hellvetron have a great sound, extremely cavernous death/ doom with a distinct black vein running through it. Muknal are essentially a pacier version of Hellvetron with more emphasis on the black /death metal aspect, to put it simply. The entire, fucking glorious, 17 minute demo / EP: Both these records are amazing. There's no two ways about it. (Lots of pink/red going on in the last two posts)
