It's a solid effort, but I think the production ruins it quite a bit. Some change-ups, breakdowns and solos sound like they're taken from completely different songs.

This is pretty dope as far as modern groove/NWOAHM style stuff goes, probably the best new album in this vein since the Irist debut in 2020

I'm imagining Lamb of God/Machine Head cc bands done something spectacularly satisfactory. I heard a track here and there.
Let me add to my wishlist.

This certainly ain't a bad release, although nothing really blows me away about it. There's some good moments here and there, there's no shortage of breakdowns, and the drumming is the particular stand-out element for me. It has an interesting blend of genre's, in which I hear thrash, death, deathcore, groove, and maybe a wee bit of hardcore. Not my sort of thing as a whole, but still not a bad album.

This was one of if not THE MOST underrated album of 2023 imo. While I wasn’t blown away on first listen, I kept replaying this album periodically throughout the whole year and found this to be a very rewarding listen. It feels like a cross between Lamb of God and Gojira with a sound I’d call Progressive Groove Metal. Some of the cleans can get a bit much, but it doesn’t detract from the album experience for me personally; just something I feel could be worked on with future releases. The harsh vocals are FANTASTIC though with a prime Randy Blythe level of venom and energy to them. I’d strongly recommend giving this album a try if anyone’s curious and especially to Groove Metal fans that like some prog spliced into their music.

This is an excellent album but I don't think it is that underrated with a 7.4. That's a pretty solid rating on MS lol. Especially not the most underrated of 2023 when you see Sarmat's Determined to Strike with a fucking 6.9/10. Now that is shameless.

Call me greedy, but I feel like that’s too low for this album lol. I’m still trying to figure out ratings so I apologize then. I still think it’s one of the more underrated records of last year. Also I agree with what you mean by Sarmat. I loved it on release, but it fell off for me and I don’t love it as much as before. Still though 6.9 I agree is a pitiful score. I personally think it’s around a 7.5 or an 8/10, but no where near a 6.9 lol.

Haha don't worry about it mate there's no need for apologizing, you like what you like and that's alright. Plus, that release slays. best advice I can give you is... Don't care too much for the ratings though or you'll miss a ton of great releases. There's not much to figure out here other than 7+ is a pretty good MS score usually.
For Sarmat, damn right. I mean I love my tech-death so I'm a little biased. But this is blasphemous!

Damn good advise.
At one time(on MS), I used to filter records with good ratings only realizing that I missed a huge chunk and then I had to gallop to cover all those missed releases. Trust me, you not able to get back to missed albums completely due to new metal releases.

Majorly influenced by Lamb of God/Gojira, scent of Orbit Culture, Psycroptic here and there assimilated this album. For groove fans, it will be fun. When it comes to distinguishing its identity, it's just another run-on-the-mill death thrash outfit.
Will attract Bloodstock crowd as they too enjoy such bands opening up the festivals.
