Dudes like you who "accidently" hurt people in the moshpit, are getting owned after the gigs in switzerland.
In every sense of the word.

haven't had any serious injuries but i landed awkwardly on my ankle at a gig on saturday but it didn't really give me any trouble til the following tuesday where i could barely walk. god knows what happened. if i had sprained it i would have known about it straight away but it wasn't til a few days later that it starting hurting.

ive been slammed to the floor a couple a time but notthing really happend just up again and mosh some more hehe

My friend broke his foot during a Children of Bodom concert (the DVD concert). He still stood up and rocked during the rest of the concert though

umm, I once fell during a show but i guess that doesn't count right?

No. What I meant is if you hurt someone intentionally, you get owned after the gigs.

Bah I don't care much about that because I mosh very very rare, but it's always fun to see how people get beaten to a fuck after the gigs because they can't behave loL!

i don't like gore lyrics usually but i made an exception. visceral evisceration are a fantastic band and, in their case, the gory lyrics actually do make a differece. theres something very disturbing about their depressive doom/death/slight-NWOBHM style having clean vocals singing about gore with a strong german accent.

@ Fucked Upstairs! - I would never usually try and injury someone in the pit, the metalheads all know each other here. I was relating it to the rest of my post going to the ALL AGES gig where a couple of DM bands were playing and a couple of Emo/Hardcore shit.

Us metalheads are all +18 and all the Emo kids were under age... we were teaching them a little less on how the mosh pit works do Death Metal bands. Although we didnt really do much damage, they backed off when the metalheads started getting a little play rough with one another, and i could do anything because i was pushed hard against the stage. And we left the area when the Emo/Hardcore bands came on.

From what I've noticed, the only time people get fucked up after a concert is usually at a show where hardcore dancing is involved. There is this piece of shit music venue called El Corazon that I've been to quite a bit and they have the whole FSU scene there...including the security guards. They've cleaned up the act apparantly by the personnel, but the crowd is still massively fag-occupied. During death or thrash metal shows, everything is fine and there are almost always no fighting, but if you go to a show that has a fake hardcore band playing, a lot of douche bags like to fight each other after shows.

I don't join mosh pits! It's barbarian! I prefer the luxury of the seat, up to the stadium!!! Even if I stand 100 meters from the stage and I see artists as tiny ants!

@ iaberis? : yeh thanks for your input, but please read the opening post. It more interesting if you add whether you've gotten an injury from the mosh pit... hence the thread...

Anyway... Guys, i know i've questioned how the hell you loose your pants in the pit.. now i know one of the reasons! Almost happened to me last gig. Because i was hard pushed up against the center of the stage which heigh was from my belt buckle to my mid section and the buckle ws digging into my ... well "manly area" lol... so i undone my belt a little so the bucle was below the line on the stage. Unfortunatly i didnt get much time to do it back up ... so with each song played, they slowly slid down just a little bit each time.

By the end of the set the pit dispersed and i came out with the top of my pants around my shins. Im not sure if anyone really notice while in the pit, but i got a few strange looks by people when i was trying to pull them up in the middle of the hall.

The worst and only thing that happend to me was a whiplash injury.

I once fell when I was moshing, but that is not a bad injury or something, I only had some bruisesXD..

Deicide just played in my city last night (Cincinnati). I've got bruised and scabbed knees from getting knocked on my knees, and some drunk metalcore dude accidentally decked me in the face.

Injuries? I got scratched and bruised all over my limbs. I still got an aching knee from Friday, but you should ask my classmate about injuries... I pushed the guy's legs upwards while he was jumping around on our arms. He landed on his face

When I saw Dying Fetus last night-

1. Got a big cut about 1 milimeter from my eye
2. Sprained my finger (hurts to type)
3. Got punched in the face (I didn't let him get away with it lol)
4. Received bruises all over my elbows, forearms, shins (omg that hurts), shoulder, and knee
5. Some douche left fatty scratch marks all over my back
6. My big toenails got totally crushed
7. I did something to my elbow..like hyper extended it or something. It hurts like hell though
8. Received a fat lip and cuts inside of my mouth from a head-to-head collision (That always happens to me at shows)

It's okay though because I thought I was going to get more injured than that since all I do is mosh. I got hurt kinda bad, but I also knocked some dudes around so its all good.

This is gonna be a long list

EDIT: forgot a funny story. my friend (14 years old people) was at a punk concert and someone jumped on his back in the mosh pit. he turned around and punched the guy in the face twice, then kneed him in the stomach. only after this did he find out that it was the 18-year old bassist from the opening band LMFAO.

me being a small person who loves to mosh there isnt enough room in this text box for my injuries....so ill just list the most recent.

-At a Verbal Deception show (probably the best local show id ever been to) me and my buddy decided to start the mosh, almost immediately after starting it i turned around and some chick punched me really, really, really hard in the mouth, blood came gushing out of my mouth so i decided i needed to get out of there, on my way trying to get out, some asshole standing on the edge of the mosh shoved me back in and i hyper-extended my knee, but i eventually was able to limp my way out. Later on after the show me and some friends went out for pizza, my first bite into the slice of pizza my canine tooth popped out.

-This one was the wierdest one that happened to me... it didnt actually happen in the mosh (it was at an arch enemy concert, when God Forbid was playing), I was moshing and decided I wasnt really into God Forbids music so I decided to go out for a smoke before Chimaira came on, on my way out of the mosh, I mustve been 15 feet away from the mosh someone punched me in the back of the head and my nose started bleeding, and I couldnt tell who did it....it was pretty funny now that i look back on it.

LOL thats the whole point of a mosh, so you can be a barabaric asshole and its accepted. where else can you let out that type of energy?

Well at the Dying Fetus/C.C. show which was absolutly BRUTAL I must have smashed my face into at least 3-5 people's backs b/c half of the time the pit would pause for a second so headbanding could commense and then at some point I either bashed my head into some guy or someone punched me in the face but I think its the first one cause the guy pulled away from me just as quickly so I think some damage was done

No, Damnated didn't show up [neither did he go last year, though he practically lives in the neighbourhood where the venue's at and tickets were cheap]. The guy I trew on his face got so drunk with me once, he doesn't remeber a thing. We really got shit-face then, his parents [taking advangtage of his hangover] formated his PC and took all his metal CDs & DVDs away. His mum even wanted to speak with mine, but the guy was sober by then and told her: fuck off, I can manage my friends, thank you!

Havent set foot in his house since.

They actually have to be taught how ot mosh??? LOL! I hate Emos! Anybody giving me a text like "me two, let's fuck'em up!" is a fag Over here we dont teach moshing, we mosh! There's no study, teaching or developing it. We fucking mosh!

I gave a dude a right hook in his ear once. He kicked me so hard I limped all the way home. It was all intentional. To hell with them excuses and explanations...
What surprises me is how I can knock down guys bigger than me. I.e. This one time, I slapped a motherfucker that looked like Kerry King [OK, smaller but still a big piece of meat] he fell on his knees. I helped him up and he threw me across the pit. Got a nice scab from landing on this bitches fungly boot. [WTF was she doing there is a mistery to all].

There's no science to it. All I can do is explain it a bit: when it ain't my gang who start moshing, it's usually an "introvert" mosh. I always try to expand that so when we join, it starts becoming "extrovert". It reaches everybody. If anybody dissagrees, they're welcome to step aside.

Haha, well not actually teach them how to mosh... they (a pit of mostly Emos) were doing the whole jump up and down at once in the pit. So us metal heads went in their to teach them how a mosh pit really works by getting rough and a little 'play' violent. Didnt really do much... unfortunatly they backed off.

So we didnt teach them how to mosh by standing there and telling them how its done ... we showed them how it was done ... metal style

I didn't know emos can mosh, i allways thought they have something like crypits.
