I heard new album, and, bah... I don't know... I didn't like it at all Sure, there are some good parts, some interesting melodies, guitar riffs.. I dunno, if you cut some parts of songs, and puts them in one, well, you can get three very good songs, but whole album is totaly weak for me. I expected more, but I heard that Korpiklaani fans like this album... reallly don't know what to think I am confused lol

01.06.2007 - 13:31 Written by APOHAKC on 31.05.2007 at 17:28 @Aronax....it's probably because Korpiklaani isn't your most favourite band. I saw them live and they were grand. They were very bouncy and very agile on stage...always jumping and running around...they got a wonderful contact with the crowd....it was a grand gig...however, I've never listened to their works thoroughly, I've got only one song..."Hunting Song"...and well....their music is good....but somehow...somehow I prefer..for example...I prefer Metsatöll and Cruachan more.....probably it's because the general thing that I amn't used to the Finnish type of folk metal.....I strongly prefer folk with Celtic characteristics...groups such as Cruachan, Elvenking...Metsatöll also has these characteristics....however, it's rather clear that Korpiklaani, Finntroll and Ensiferum form a distinguished group of their own.....I like them...their music is good....but I still can't help it...I enjoy the Celtic group more..... So, Aronax...you don't have to be confused.....

its pretty fun music, but every friggin album sounds the same! with bands like Ensiferum, or Finntroll I can tell just by listening to a song what album its off of, but Korpiklaani its impossible for me.

Who else is completely rocking out to their new album, Tervaskanto? I certainly am!!!! I would go so far as to say it's their BEST album yet. All of the songs blow my mind: each is perfectly energetic and the tender moments are spliced in at just the right times. It flows as one while leaving many seperate memorable moments. It's currently one of my albums of the year. What do you guys think?

I saw the new cover and I thought it was a joke or something, it just took an incredibly cheesey turn right there.

Korpiklaani are one of those bands that I really loved a while back, and were pretty much the first folk metal band I heard (And as good a start as any) but there's just something about them which hasn't had really long term appeal to me. Maybe I'll get back into them some time in the future, but I haven't even got round to listening to Tervaskanto yet... Tales Along This Road was always my favourite, Kirki!

Finnish folk metallers Korpiklaani have issued the following update: "We promised you another video while waiting for the 'Korven Kuningas' album. This pure Finnish folk metal video was created according to the ideas of our webmaster and friend Sami Rämä. Without his huge dedication this party video would never have existed. A big thanks to you, Sami, and to all who made this video possible." You can watch the 'Metsämies' clip at this location. Enjoy.

It seems as though I'll be seeing them here this summer. I dont know their music at all. If they put out a good show I might feel the urge to listen to them, so far I don't, for no reason.
