I attended my first concert this year.
I never had the opportunity to go to any other concert before...I know, very sad T.T

Anyway, my first concert was Megadeth's, 6th february.

It was so damn good.
Dave Mustaine sang wonderfuly and with an enormous strength.
It was awesome when he sang A Tout Le Monde an every one in the public sang with him.

Just indescriptible.

I won't count small local band stuff. My first show ever was Opeth in Hanau, Germany! What a great fuckin' show! I was the first one out there because I didn't have a ticket and I didn't want to miss the show. Got in, went right up front and stood there the entirety of the time! That was only like 15 days after I arrived in Germany too!!!! What a great first impression!!

Sadly, by that time Mendez was already gone!

My first metal concert was Hammersound Fest in Moscow in spring'07. I saw there Pain, Therion and Blind Guardian...
And I'll never forget that 4-hours delay and we waited all that time outside in the sun. And it was caused by shitty organisation, 'cause it was first such big fest..

I just got back from my first concert: Helloween and Gamma Ray!

It was AMAZING!

I did a high metal scream after one of the songs during the applause.

Andi Deris says, "Wow, we have some good singers tonight. I think I heard a high C from over here."

So I did another one

He said, "I'm to old to do that shit."

MOST AWESOME FIRST CONCERT MOMENT EVER OMFG

Why are you disappointed?

Because the setlist wasn't so great, lots of new songs, they weren't with a good feeling... And to make things worst, it rained!

I think my first live band experience was Lowlands 2004. I thought it really kicked ass back then, with Nightwish and Apocalyptica if I remember correctly . However, the first impression of a festival environment was rather overwhelming haha.

mmm my first real concert besides local bands was Tenacious D. yes, i saw Tenacious D live. it was a killer show. one of my friends tried crowd surfing, but got dropped and accidentally kicked some girl in the face. when he got to his feet, the girl he kicked socked him in the face and we had to restrain him from going after her, so he resorted to giving her the finger and yelling obscenities left and right. it was epic.

Iron Maiden at 2004. I din't like their show because they played songs from their first 4 albums which I've never heard before..
Three years later on 20.05.07 I saw Kreator with Celtic Frost live... this was the time when I understood why seeing live a band can't be compared with anything else in music...

Too far back to remember, but it was either the Kinks, or Charlie Daniels Band back in eighty-something.

First metal concert was Monsters of Rock with Van Halen and Metallica right before And Justice for All came out.

Iron Maiden and Anthrax when I was fifteen. Tour "No prayer for the dying". I hated the fact that Adrian was not there but Jannick Gers was great in stage, so I kind of forgot about Adrian.

I had to flee from home, as my parents did not allow me going there so young. The concert was in Madrid, around 250 miles from where I was living in Andalucia, South of Spain.

We made a mistake and went to the wrong building in the other side of the town. -We went to the Pabellón de Deportes and the venue was the Palacio de Deportes. -Sports Pavilion vs Sport Palace. As there were not internet then, we did not have tickets and when we get to the proper site the ticket cabins were closed. We had to buy at the reselling -I paid double- and only saw 4 anthrax songs...great performance as little as I could see.

I have not like any other band live so much as the Irons then.

When I was 12 I went to see Slayer, God Forbid, Hatebreed, and Slipknot. My dad's a huge metalhead too, I've gone to all my concerts with him.

Fun fact: That first concert I went to was the one where Slayer filmed their "Still Reigning" DVD. Augusta, Maine, FTW!

I don't think I have shared my first proper metal show experience in here yet..
it was back in 2003 and obviously my tastes then were not as they are now out of ignorance.. but I got to see Chimaira, Ill Niño and Spineshank in Cardiff, Wales
I was really into them bands then - and have always had some kind of interest in Chimaira because of that.. Ill Niño I just forgot about, as I did with Spineshank until last time I went home I brought back their best two albums with me and ripped them on here and I found myself relishing them again.. mostly out of nostalgia but is is also quite good for other reasons I think.. shame Spineshank split up really.. I saw one of their last ever shows as my first ever show
hahaha - I learnt a lot from that show - mainly - KEEP HYDRATED!!! hahahaha - I was bouncing up and down and shouting along to every word I got so dehydrated I nearly passed out - as soon as water hit my mouth I was alive and straight back out there!!
and so I am really looking forward to seeing Chimaira at Hellfest all these years later - it will be so weird

Sounds like my first Metal show. I'd been to 2 concerts before that, but my first METAL show was Opeth with Devildriver as support and Dark Tranquillity opening....must have been around 15 at the time, I had that same dehydration problem. A few months ago I got to see DT again (opening for Arch Enemy), it didn't seem as magical...I guess because Dark Tranquillity was the first metal band I saw perform live, so I guess I had nothing to compare it to.

Looking back at those concerts now it makes me feel old. I used to be able to mosh and headbang non-stop through every bands set to every song, go home, and wake up at 7AM to go to school the next day. Now I can't go nearly that hard, I need to go out for a smoke and a drink in between each bands set, and conserve my energy by not going crazy during a set for a band I'm not into. I also need to sign the next day off work or else I'll be dead tired....It's a tad bit depressing.

My first concert ever was from The Black Dahlia Murder. I'm not really sure if it was 2,5 or 3,5 years ago. I was there with 2 of my at the time crazy friends. Halfway through the set I was a witness from something what i learned later was a Hardcore dancer. At tbdm wtf! We 3 were standing there looking at him laughing our asses off. When he was showing his best skills we decided to just run in and start a pit. When the song was finished Trevor complemented us on that one.
