Im to lazzy read all post because it long, but I try edd pics(band, album................) but there are error always, why?

You should read what it says.

Album covers can be too heavy in kb, can have the wrong size, etc.
And you can't add other stuff because they have too much submissions.

OK guys, you can now edit band pictures as well

Now that you can change bands' pictures, please remember one thing:

Change those pictures only if it is a necessity?


I mean that it's ok if the pic is missing, out of date or with a bad quality... but all the ones, who will change the pictures only to win some community points or just because they don't like the actual pictures, will loose their perms to edit the bands' pages....

I´ve tried to post pictures for Ningizzia and the album, and the same for Nocte Obducta but it shows error because of too many posts

by the way why nobody adds pictures of goregrind, grindcore or death metal bands? I feel so leftover lol

I added Cattle Decapitation stuff but I kept on getting an error and ever since then I haven't retried.

Edit: Yeah so I tried it again and it still won't let me edit any bands.

looks like i was right. just checked that after herz accepted 5 band pics ive upped today. cant post this in bugs though cause im still slightly under 100 posts

So how are things with the demo pictures? Can we now add 150x100 pictures for the old demo tapes?

Virgin Black's EP Trance appears twice. Also, how much info must we give about a band that hasn't an active profile so ti would become active? Or it depends on the administrators?

'Edit' one Virgin Black EP, and put something in the 'comment on changes' box.


This has been asked a hundred times.

You can give all the info about those inactive bands, in the end, the staff will decide.

Lol, don't worry, I heard you grind/gore mate.
I just added some band pics of Circle Of Dead Children, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Candiria, Exhumed, Fantomas, Macabre, Mortician, Pig Destroyer (!) and Squash Bowels (my new goregrind favo).
Now all MS-featered-Grindcore-labelled-bands have a band pic

I'v added some lyrics and albums today.... lets see how long it will take to get posted

Like 4 days ago I added some Lacrimosa and Vintersorg lyrics, but they aren't online yet. And like one and half month I added a picture for Orphanage and some lyrics for Lacrimosa and Tvangeste

@The Alchemist..... that doesnt look promissing!!! ... I added lyrcis three days ago and I was hoping to see it posted today or tomorrow??? guess that aint happening

Well, sometimes it takes some time to the moderators to check the lyrics, that's why it takes so much time to post them, when I added the lyrics for Tvangeste it took like 2 and half weeks to post them in the page, so, we must be patient

We will come across your additions and edits, but as The Alchemist said, be a little bit patient. Of course we really appreciate your work and we won't let your efforts go to waste.

You see, the moderators apreciate our contributions indeed, but I guess they have so many things to do that sometimes it's quite difficult to check the contributions

Does anybody around have original Forbidden releases? I've just added them and their bassist Matt Camacho is the only one I couldn't find pics of. So if someone has the CD's and a scanner, it would be great if that someone could upload a pic of his (if there are any in the booklets). Also better pics for drummer Steve Jacobs and guitarist Tim Calvert (who also appeared on Nevermore's "Dreaming Neon Black", so if someone has that CD...) would be great. Please PM me in that case.

@lordz and The Alchemist: lyrics don't really have priority as they are just a minor feature of MS. Seeing as we still have enough lineup and album edits to work on and considering that our team is quite weakened at the moment, you'll have to have lots of patience before we'll work on the lyrics. Some of us even listen to the releases to check the submitted lyrics, so you could say that lyrics edits need the most time, but are least important. Of course your input is highly appreciated and sooner or later we'll also work on the lyrics, but there is just more important stuff we'll have to care about prior to lyrics, so don't expect a swift execution of your edits all that soon.

And BTW - not only moderators work on this site

@The Alchemist: band profile, lineup and discography would have highest priority, at least for me. Musician profiles and the videography come next. And pretty much on last rank are the lyrics.

@lordz: I rather think we should wait til holiday season is over, when the already existing team will be complete again

Talking about lyrics, can use the text code on lyrics too?

For the CD 'Cast Into Fields of Evil Pleasure' by Illnath, there are two reviews by Undercraft. They are almost exactly the same, excepting the fact that a few words are changed and the puncuation characters display correctly in only one of them (for me at least).

I wanted to add pics for members of Dimmu Borgir. I found needed pics, resized them to 150x150 and saved. When i tried to upload, MS message told me that image size must be 20 KB or less. My pics were 23-30 KB. When i tried to decrease their size saving in lower quality (even 3-4 in Photoshop and that is very poor quality) i couldn't reach 20 KB border, my pics were a bit bigger. Then i used SAVE FOR WEB, they were lower size than 20 KB but MS doesn't support GIF format. Why? I don't want to save them one more time in JPEG.
My suggestions:
1)allow bigger size of files (maybe 30 KB);
2)allow to upload gif files too. As you know, gif if normal format for web and it's supported as JPG and PNG and usually GIF pictures are in lower size.

@ W-Lash: Hum, my suggestion: gimme the links to those pics and I'll see what I can do (PM).

@ Markku: About text code in lyrics, I don't know... you can always try, mentioning that you've been using code in the comment field.

I deleted them...Sorry. I found them using google picture finder. Don't worry, i know how to change image sizes, types and so on but i was sad because my work was pointless.
