I've already seen a bunch of 2015 releases being announced, and even streaming in full in some locations, so I figured I'd go ahead and create a place for those releases to be posted. To start we'll have the new Swamp Witch album The Slithering Bog. It's a sludge filled doom album that simply slays, and is streaming in its' entirety on the Swamp Witch bandcamp page. The official release date (for the physical versions) is February 20th, 2015.

This sounds extremely lookforwardable. Crushened blackened hardcorened sludgened post-metalened. One of the heaviest things I've heard this yearened.

I might lend my ears to this. How black is this though?

As Ilhouch says, not much. Just some denseness in the sound and vocals really.

Not much.

I should probably like this then. Not like I have any problems with dissonant BM but I am not in the mood fer that.

Hehe, I hear ye. As !T.W.A.T.! said, it's blackened, but very post/sludge with a wee bit of -core feel on the vocals. I loved it personally, I'm looking forward to the release.

Fucking Snakefeast. That's all I have to say. Insanely abstract yet somehow jazzy sludge with a heavy reliance on percussion. Just fucking listen to it..... Oh also there's no guitar

Nice. Weirdly I've been following this band since back when they played obscure death industrial. They seem to be growing into an interesting entity.

I actually wanted to post this last night but supposed that no one will like it. Not enjoying it as much as you personally, too

Yeah finally I have high hopes for an industrial metal record. Good to see a band maintaining hostile edge and not using cheesy bullshit cyber keys
PS: before you point it out, I have heard that ToD record and was not as impressed as you. I might had been in a bad mode though and want to recheck it :p

Well it's not going to be for everyone. I love it the more I listen to it. Hey, at least Ilham likes it so I'm not going totally mental

Like? Love at first hearing that was. But as usual, one of us has to be the weird one and not like it .

Alex seems to find it average too. This "weridness" much be catching

I'm a bit surprised with mz though, I expected him to like it based on the fact he really liked Status Abnormis' album which to me is somewhat similar.

You haven't had your coffee yet, have you?

1: Thank you for that link, had never heard of it, sounds like something I'll at least enjoy for a spin judging from the first 2 minutes of it that I heard. Industrial Gojira-vibe = melikey.
2: If Erik says you guys all agree again I'll pay Marcel to hit him the next time they meet.

That Ur Draugr cover is fantastic, I don't know what you're on about Karly.

Not sure if anyone here is gonna like it as it's quite different from the blackened crust sludge that usually get's posted here, it has a much more polished sound to say the least, but here it is: https://tarbyrocks.bandcamp.com/album/everfree

I'll use Tarby's description of it as "EDM influenced progressive metal", though the metal doesn't really start kicking in until the second verse of the second song. I've been waiting for this album for awhile now, and I'm glad it's finally here, I think it's a freaking fantastic album. If you're a fan of industrial metal and don't mind longer songs I suggest you check it out.

The Evenfall, quality prog metal from Argentina, released their debut album "The Waiting Room" a few days ago. I've collaborated with some growls for this record here and there, though it is far from being one of the main strengths of this album. Can be downloaded for free or streamed in bandcamp.

Possibly bumped-up to the top of my "most wanted" list on this song alone. Pretty massive, but melodic, sounding black-ish at points death-doom, or something. Amazing sound.

Only a couple of songs in and I don't think I've heard anything quite like this. I'd probably call it some kind of avant-garde industrial / post-metal, or something to that effect. Something about the tone and the way the music progresses, it's almost non sequitur. At points it's almost emotive and dissonant (even microtonal maybe) at the same time. Anyway I love it.
