I've somewhat recently become a pretty big fan of Steve Carell. I first got a taste of his acting in Bruce Almighty and Anchorman. I really 'fell in love" with his acting when I started watching NBC's "The Office." I love that show. Watching it right now actually. I further enjoyed his performances in The 40 Year Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, and Dan in Real Life, among others.

His role in the Bourne trilogy is quite amazing.

I prefer "Go get some rest, you look tired" in The Bourne Supremacy

(Jason Statham impression, with thick british accent, disgusted look on face)one of my fav actors is Jason Statham, he's a fuckin' badass, and his accent is enough to kick ass in a movie, he doesn't even need to beat people up, his accent does it for him
also one of my other fav actors is Christian Bale, he was great in all movies i've seen him: Equilibrium(the look on his face when he listens to Beethoven is priceless), The Prestige(great performance, if you seen the movie you know what i'm talking about), and of course Batman Begins. Can't wait to see The Dark Knight! only 3 days or so remaining!

i agree, it's been AGES since i saw the movie "Primal Fear"(the one with the corrupt priest), but he is great in that film, also in American History X and Fight Club, he's damn perfect.

Hmm, among my very favorite i would have to put in Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt (he's great in movies like Se7en, 12 monkeys and Fight Club), Jack Nicholson of course, Anthony Hopkins because of his role of Hannibal Lecter, and that's all i can think of at the moment.

Big list I have, but I'll to make it short:
Supporting the original poster - Edward Norton, great actor, he can do pretty much any kind of acting.
Bruce Willis, Sir. Anthony Hopkins, Sharlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington ohh.. I could go one.. lol
I'd like to add the little Dakota Fanning from War of the Worlds. At her age, she's already showing great acting skills and devotion to the job. IMO she's better than some well known actors out there.

I gotta go with Brad Pitt. He played one of the greatest crazy people of all time in 12 Monkeys, and his roles in Se7en and Fight Club were also perfect.

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are really good actors. I also like Johny Depp because he doesn't mind looking silly and ugly (which is hard for a good looking guy like him) in a movie.

Well I'll be damned. Great actor though, even if I find his performance in Eastern Promises to be slightly overrated.

I am sorry but I didn't get the conversation Cal and Marcel had. Is Morgan Freeman a lame actor?
Speaking about Eastern Promises, Mortensen was praised for his ability to speak Russian with almost no accent. When it comes to films in English, the "Russian" characters always speak some sort of unintelligible gibberish which sounds more like Serbo-Croatian than Russian. Mortensen did a good job avoiding that... unlike Müller-Stahl and Cassel.
For example, I found it very hilarious that Scarlett Johansson's character was presented as "Russian" in the Avengers' film. No Russian would speak the language like that. I wonder why they never think of finding proper vocal coaches who'd be native speakers.
Then again, given the fact that Mortensen himself is tri-lingual and also speaks some additional languages, it's no wonder he had a pretty genuine Russian accent in that film.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the lameness of calling Morgan Freeman "More Gun Freeman", which is totally lame, especially as he's an actor that's generally stayed away from overt gun use in his career on screen.
