I thought you were a person who said he ALWAYS reads all the lyrics. Wel,, then you can see that Burzum's lyrics AREN'T NS at all (only the artist behind the music and lyrics is), same for Drudkh btw, whereas Nokturnal Mortum has NS lyrics, whihc also applies for Graveland. That IS a huge difference.

I read lyrics but NM and Graveland those ain so bad how other NSBM bands or some oi and skin head music bands lyrics has more NS how Graveland and NM
IMO Vales, Other, Arryan Wind , Capricornus, are more NS hwo NM IMO NM and Graveland use alos slavic paganism, ancient beliefs into lyrics specely newer Graveland has changed new Graveland be more how Bathory in epic era if used lil ns lyrics

@K7, although they have less ns lyrics than the other bands you mentioned they still have them nonetheless so therefore they ARE nsbm. Simple as that.

I never sad they aint nsbm , just IMO there is diference if Album calls for example ''Heinrich Himler'' or Ancient ''Wolfes Runes True Slavic Lands'' where maybe in one song is mentioned ''white will rulle'' how in all album has about NS and all ideolgy

Just what I saw in Gangland about US Skinheads, ewery show, song was full wgit ns, racsitical thinks

In those bands 2 NM and Graveland(Lord Wind is only where Rob dont make any NS think into music) I dont promote strong how others

Russian band I know band dunno lyrics in MA all are in kyrlic so cant reda, cant tell but its whit NS influences

This blows. Drudkh is added and Nokturnal Mortum isn't. Drudkh has as much NS influences as NM.

NM sings about it Drudkh doesn't, and that is the main difference. Same applies to Burzum.

Can someone please give me Nokturnal Mortum songs that have offensive lyrics?

I would have been far happier without the knowledge that they were NSBM. I own Weltanschuaang, and it is one of my favorite albums full stop.

Although since finding out of their influences I've really felt less inclined to listen to them, I mean really it's a real shame that such great music has to be weighed down with such crap.

I didn't know they were NSBM but I really like their music. I don't care about the lyrics because I don't understand it... so I'll continue enjoying them (even though I don't like NS thematic).

I love them, whether they're NSBM or not. Lunar Poetry was a sweet ass demo. A+++++
I don't see why people make such a big deal about them being NSBM, when you have bands like Inquisition(whom I love) talking about bleeding the virgin dry for Satan.

It's funny how when a band sings about killing christians and burning churches, it's just black metal, but when they sing about killing jews and burning synagogues, then they are abandoned by the so called hardcore satanists because they regard them as NSBM. This confuses me.
Anyway, bands like NM show us that the spirit of black metal is very much alive, with equally good music as in the Norwegian scene and with equal amount of controversy. Church burners are going crazy all over Ukraine and Russia, they burned a lot of churches over the past few years (Varggoth's cult), and there are rumors of human sacrifices in satanist rituals...

it seems you don't quite understand NSBM. it's not about killing jews, it's mostly about love. love for a nation, love for a race, love for people. however you put it, your basic NSBM band has positive ideas towards something, while your basic satanic band is all about negativity and hate. towards anything. that is the difference. this is the reason why most "satanic black metallers" distance themselves from anything pagan or NS.

i don't think you do. antisemitism is not NS. these are two completely different terms.

as i see it, music is the combination of the component parts within... vocals (and thus lyrics) are therefore part of the music.

while the decision to intentionally avoid NS bands was made prior to me having an position on staff, it is one i fully support.

if you want to listen to those bands, that is your choice. if MS opts not to recognize them with an official profile, that is the choice of the site's staff.

Like has been said if you want to listen to those bands, fine. But we as MS have decided not to include NSBM bands (being bands that have racist or any other nsbm ideolgies in their lyrics) because we as staff feel that those messages/ideologies are way more dangerous and hurtful and hate inducing than other ideologies.
