Notice the question, it's not the greatest DM band it's the one enjoy the most. There is a big, big difference between them.

i love all opeth albums but morningrise and still life all my favorites my favorite songs are The Moor,Advent,Wreath and White Cluster

Opeth is damn awesome. They are my favorite band ever. What are your favorite album and song? For me the album is either Still Life, Morningrise, or Ghost Reveries. The song is too hard to figure out! They have too many awesome songs.

Hahahah you can post this mesige in almoust all pool/treads in MS and in some ''metalstomrs'' traeds specelyv one where was mentioned my name whit out reason ]

I just discovere new DM band, its more progrseve DM band0here are no poll best prg/dm abnd ) band name are Sworn from Armenia, I had 4 sonsg but I love it, its like Opeth, but something i love more how into this band how in Opeth, dunno what, maybe smoot guitar parts in midle of songs, you all shood try them

i was going on the assumption that you mean death metal and that this discludes any melodic death metal. i chose "other" because i have been on a bog Vader kick lately, and their new album is great.

Ok, i have defenetely voted wrong. Now that i'm listened a lot to all of those bands i like Deicide the most!

Ive been listening to Formulas fatal to the flesh and Gateways to annihilation alot lately, Morbid Angel still does it better than anyone else IMO

i most definately agree with you, vader is great. their newest album is amazing, if you don;t already own it.

I have to say hypocrisy and death are the biggest death metal bands for me.They got me into the death so thanks to them i knew vader and death.But they are still take my attention easily.I don't wanna say anything about Death we all know them

My vote goes to Cannibal Corpse.
You really can argue with all you want, but my guess is that what they do is tr00 death metal.

I also think that Death, Deicide, Suffocation, Vader are also great dm bands.

Hypocrisy all the way man!!!

Other than Morbid Angel, Dismember is pretty much my all time favorite.

Agreed, Opeth has to be my favorite death metal band, except I think I can narrow down my favorite song to 'The Moor' the first Opeth song I ever heard and nearly blew my speakers when the electric guitar came in because I had the stereo cranked for the accoustic intro (I thought something was wrong with my stereo)....so naturally Opeth is permanently tattooed in my memory.

i agree with Vader too actully... though i do really like Nile.

I'd say Death. Everything I've heard from them is just excellent. Never heard a bad from them yet and Chuck is a DM mastermind with his musicianship and lyrics in my opinion. Honorable mention: Atheist. All three of their albums are just mind blowing. Choy and Patterson make some of the sweetest basslines I've heard.

Nile are ultimate, their first release Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka, is truly epic and simpy Death Metal.

Brutality has became one of my favorites latley,not a very well known band,only released 3 albums,two of which I have heard.I have been searching for their debut "Screams Of Anguish",and cant seem to come by it,have almost all songs downloaded,exceptionally good technical death metal.Their vocalist reminds me of Gorguts lead singer alot.which is a good thing.

How is the production with these guys? I've heard some samples, but not much else. And, many people who have similar tastes in music like this band, although my stereo makes me not a fan of shitty production.

i think behemoth is the best death metal band but i also like nile very much!

The production is pretty good on the original cd,and awhile they released their debut album on iTunes,so thats everyone's chance to here it without forking out alot cash.It is almost a perfect album,there is about 2 songs with some uninspired riffing,but the solos are always good.

I previously said Opeth was my favorite Death metal band, but since there not completely 100% death im changing my answer to Bloodbath, I love Ressurection Through Carnage and Im starting appreciate Nightmares Made Flesh. So I guess my vote in the poll doesnt change.

Cryptopsy is my personal fav.

I love the egyptian touch on their music.

If you would consider Opeth, then most deinately them, bt otherwise I would tie between Death and Morbid Angel

Death still the best metal band in term of History...
But by now, I think Nile is Reigning!!!!
