Which of those bands can you say that you thoroughly enjoy every album.
I love Black Sabbath but I don't really rate any of the albums after the Gillan one, and I think Never Say Die is great.
The big 4 of thrash have all had some albums that many would agree were terrible compared to their best, maybe I could argue that Slayer havent.
Of course bands cant make every album the same and their artistic expression changes so that we may no longer revere their work, but everyone has those bands that they beleive have never created anything but excellence.
I propose Judas Priest and Sodom.
Who do you propose, remembering a minimum of 6 studio albmus for the band to be eligible.

Kalmah, Benighted, Gamma Ray, Iron Savior, Dark Tranquillity, Symphony X, and Esoteric come to mind for me. Some may disagree with me on one or two of these bands, but I'd say they all have quite a solid discography.

I like Heritage but I wont be paying Opeth any attention if they continue in that style, It was good for a one off but they cant make a career out of copying old prog rock bands. Deliverance sucks as well.

17.08.2012 - 07:01 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 16.08.2012 at 23:26 Why is everyone ragging on Heritage anyway? Its an amazing album and quite varied, keeping the listener from beginning to end. I never know what to expect; there are many twists and turns. It is an exciting album. I hope that the next Opeth album is just like Heritage; perhaps, another take on it. Heritage is a lot more adventurous of an album than any of their previous releases. They could easily take the death metal sound and mix it into the sound that they have on Heritage; that would kick ass. I would love to hear that on their next release. Who knows what Opeth will do again. They might just put out another album like Heritage. I think that you need to explain yourself with a tad bit more detail. There are some things on Heritage that I don't like. That introduction song is so boring. It does nothing for me. It is quite a let down. It goes absolutely nowhere, and then all of a sudden, what the fuck? Opeth just brings on the next song with no warning. Usually, on other albums, they develop a quiet and haunting keyboard overlay and turn it into a masterpiece around the 4-5 minute mark, and then mold it into a brilliant masterpiece of a second track. On Heritage, that falls flat with The Devil's Orchard. There are also a lot of ideas in songs like Nepenthe, Häxprocess and Famine that easily could have been fleshed out more. This album could have been a lot longer. The title track along with The Devil's Orchard could have played off of each other quite well.

17.08.2012 - 12:38 Written by Yellax on 17.08.2012 at 07:01 The album is varied, but I find it totally predictable and unimaginative music. It is clear that Akerfeldt shopped around in his 60s and 70s prog collection more or less copy pasting from there.

Sunn O))) Admittedly there's not a huge amount of variation in the music but each of their releases is at least good.

Blind Guardian...even the "weak" A Twist In The Myth is still good enough Iron Maiden...with the possible exception of Virtual XI, but worse 1 from 15 is acceptable, or? Moonsorrow...anyone doubts this choice? Nightwish...i can honestly say i enjoyed all albums including DPP and - that one especially - Imaginaerum Sabaton...you may disagree, but i simply love them from the first demo till last bonus of Carolus Rex Summoning...their old demos are more like "wtf?", Minas Morgul wasnt that superior, but since then, it is one majestic masterpiece over another so that would be my list...some other bands i have a suspicion, but i dont know their entire discography, so i cant tell honestly
