Heading for Tomorrow - The real Keeper of the Seven Keys Part III

As we all know Kai Hansen left Helloween after the Keeper II because of different reasons. One of them was that the other members wanted to play music with less metal influences, which resulted in Pink Bubbles and Chameleon. Kai wanted to keep on with the metal, and therefore left Helloween to found his own band.

This album is by far the best of Scheepers-era Gamma Ray.

They shake your hand and they smile and they buy you a drink
They say we'll be your friends we'll stick with you till the end
But everybody's only looking out for themselves
And you say who can you trust I'll tell you nobody

Just barely a good album, many weak songs here. In contrast there's a couple of great tracks such as "Silence" and "Heading For Tomorrow" and ok songs like "Lust For Life" and "Hold Your Ground". The album definitely doesn't go to the favorite Gamma Ray albums category, but does work for occasional listens.

A very good album. Best GR, together with LOTF, for me.
It has it weak points, that is right, but alone for the epic, outstanding title track, and Heaven can wait this album is a classic of German Power Metal.

I think this album has some good tracks but overall it's not that good. I prefer "Pink Bubbles" by Helloween if I had to compare. It might be the best out of the first 3 but that's not saying much since all 3 albums are not that solid.

No, Heaven can wait is second best here -- the cake clearly goes to the title track, it is indeed unbelievably epic.

Gamma Ray is one of the most important and influential Power Metal band of all times, together with Helloween, Blind Guardian and Stratovarius, and here is where it all starts. I'm not a huge fan of Scheepers era, but this album definitely have some nice stand-out track, like: "Heaven Can Wait", "Lust For Life", "The Silence" and the glorious title track. 7.5/10
