hey.post here the songs(metal or not)which have stolen riffs, keyboards, vocals, etc. from another band without mentioning them in their booklet...
i'll start:Limp Bizkit-behind blue eyes=same as intro of angels fall first(nightwish)
madonna-hung up=abba-gimme gimme gimme(same stupid rhythm)
children of bodom-hatebreeder=nightwish-nemo("nemo sailing home...")
of course i don't know if any one of these have the original song listed in the booklet,so i'm not quite sure...
but anyway a lot of people say that nu metal bands like linkin park and others copy all sorts of riffs and stuff from pantera and sepultura,so fire away and please no posts such as "OMFG THOSE X BAND IDIOTS COPIED THOSE UNBELIEVABLY COOL AND TALENTED GUYS FROM Y BAND'S RIFFS,VOCALS,ETC. IN Z ALBUM WHICH WENT MULTI-PLATINUM!!!WTF HOW CAN SOMEONE IN THEIR FULL CONTROL OF THE BRAIN DO THIS??!?!!?THOSE CHEAP POSER BASTARDS IMITATORS MOTHERFUCKERS!!!"

The beggining of this Edenbridge song is a total copy of Queen - The Show Must Go On:

Also Arcturus - The Chaos Path reminds me a lot of Pink Floyd - The Trial

That was pretty good, though not exactly Amon Amarth in my opinion.

aka "Misirlou" as recorded by Dick Dale (although the song was first recorded in 1927 by the Greek folk musician Tetos Demetriades)

Within Temptation's "In Perfect Harmony" was certainly inspired by this.

Ok well I'd like to mention a song that I like ALOT from Havok... Its ''Prepare For Attack'', at 1:08 of the song, you can clearly hear a riff used by Metallica in ''Motorbreath'' on Kill 'Em All. Yeah yeah, Stolen but still a good fucking awesome no matter what.

I reckon that was probably more of a tribute than a song theft, considering on the same album David Sanchez replicates the Angel of Death scream pretty much perfectly.

My two cents? As I Lay Dying's "The Beginning" and Iron Maiden's "The Trooper". You can't unhear this one.

This will go down as my first time ever defending Chris Brown, but he amended the credits to this song after listening to "I'm Not Alone". Blame Brown's producer for lifting the beat without giving credit where it's due.

Did he? Good for him. I'm pretty sure all Calvin Harris wanted was recognition of a fuckup anyway. I remember him saying he wasn't concerned with royalties.

Ya, that's exactly how it happened. It might have gotten messier if he asked for money, but all he really wanted was the credit he deserved. I know Chris Brown is far from a good boyfriend, but in this case he makes the right decision.

Unless a fan points out a song X sounds very similar to another song Y, I think alot of the "ripped off" songs wouldn't even be noticed by the bands. Also, most of the time you don't make music out of nothing, so playing 4 notes in the same way as another one is quite plausible, specially if it's from the same genre/inspiration.

THIS ! I agree
