New sample up on bandcamp, here. Not quite the type of approach I was hoping for, but sounds more or less like I expected.

Pretty good. Quite like The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation (though not quite up there with it in terms of quality).

To me, sounds like an intro of almost 10 minutes.

Did they take this name after the "Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble"? >_<

these two are related bands. I think The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation is a side project of Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble.

Eternal Return is probably one of the most eerie and stunning songs I've heard in a while. At first it sounds like the two bands are doing their best and their darkest Earth impression...which causes an unwilling swell of desolation to befall you. Once the vocals hit, it goes to a brand new level.

This is what I got out of the first two minutes. Good stuff, my friend just pointed out that it sounds like bees though

Not the bees!
In all seriousness, that Mount Doom thing was actually pretty soothing.

Mmm please back on topic about Sun O))) and Ulver collaboration/split. Save the Mount Fuji/Killimajaro talk for another thread or even a Celestial Season thread

I think it says a lot about the music on this collab that we're all discussing other bands instead.

kind of true. I love Sunn O))), and this album is decent, but it's kind of forgettable and vague considering how divisive Sunn O))) can be, and how modern Ulver gets fan foaming at the mouth.

Another one I quit trying to like. Repeated attempts over the course of a month and nothing doing. Uninteresting.

Just something to note
I mentioned in my review that it'd be cool if more work was done between the Sunn O))) guys and the Ulver guys, but in a way that's already a reality. Stephen O'Malley actually has his Æthenor project with Garm and Daniel O'Sullivan, anyone who enjoyed this collab should definitely look into it.
