Glad to hear that, however posting in a forum is very different from the real thing.
I mean, It's hard to picture a group of 5 friends in a house discussing the hotness of True Blood's male cast. In a forum it seems "lighter" somehow.

Still... Ok, I went to a Mayan gig last month and somehow I ended arguing about Nergal's hotness with other 3 guys. I'm not saying it is completely forbidden but it's more common in girls based on my life experience so far.

True. I mean, I associate myself with what I figure to be relatively open-minded people; people who aren't racist or sexist and generally take no issue with just letting people be themselves. I take that to heart, so it's easy for me tap into a different side that maybe others aren't comfortable with, and say things like "that guy has an incredibly body".

The problem with some people is they're so uptight and quick to judge. No I don't want to literally fuck him (although if I were gay, ya, I could definitely see why I'd want to) but it's no different than saying "that building is beautiful".

There's probably some people who love having sex with buildings, but personally I just admire them for their beauty.

Meh, not really caring about it tbh. To me they are that kind of low 7 band that I enjoy but after the songs are over I forget them. For some reasons I like the artwork of their cds. I found the debut cute looking. Probably because I love jellyfishes. and aquariums in general.

It's only more common in girls because society doesn't have a problem with it. If you're a guy, any slight sign of affection towards your own sex will be taken as a sign of homosexuality. A girl can admire beauty in her own sex without having her sexuality brought into question because of it. So it's only more common in girls because we were never taught to repress those sorts of feelings, men however, are.

I actually really liked the fact that there were some suggestions (the legit ones!) from guys in the hot men thread. I think it's cool to see that some straight guys can do that without caring what anyone else thinks. If girls can do it, why not men? We talk about equality, but in some ways, I feel men are far more restricted emotionally, and in ways of self expression than women are.

Oh it will change over time, and you're right, it already has started to. Albeit very slowly. If the net had existed just 25 years ago, there very probably wouldn't have been any legit posts from straight guys in a hot men thread, so things definitely have progressed a little bit since then.
