Dunno I find the hair near the laceration at the top slightly nasty here but yeah nothing utterly ott and nauseating here.

I have seen tons of cool pointillism works by Manuel Tinnemans but this is probably the best eventhough it doesn't quite resemble his usual pointillism style. Looks insanely rad.

I like the cover of the sound of perseverance because it's so eerie and mysterious which is translated into the sound of the album.

These guys sure as hell can't make half decent music ever again. 5 seconds of it and you've heard the whole record. Quite bassy stuff but nothing more than that. The cover is such well done and looks cool though. Almost like a marble texture or a picture of planetary surface of Jupiter or saturn or just a random color mixed artwork. Snazzy at any rate.

Pretty awesome art from an UK album last year. Luna's Call - Divinity.

Grand Belial's Key definitely has the best album covers.
Simple and gnarly as hell. Not to mention their logo rules as well

Probably one of the best death metal artworks of this sort. No doubt it is from the legendary Bruce Pennington himself.

After all the years, still partial to this one:

Burzum's Aske. The photo of the burnt church was a great idea.

One of those pictures that tell or even better, evoke a whole story. Not to mention definitely of the bests this year.

Paysage d'Hiver's artwork is brilliant, I agree. Definitely evokes a weird sense of ancientness/mythicism. Perfect match for the music as well. Artwork for Die Feistung and the s/t are my favourites.

Anything by Bolt Thrower has cool artwork, but 'Realm Of Chaos' is my favourite because of how epic Warhammer 40K is.
