With such a terribly generic name and quite mundane album cover, you might be excused for doubting the content of the German legends' fourteenth original studio album. Those that have kept on the ball with Helloween in recent years however, will know that the band have been on remarkably good form and will certainly not judge this proverbial book by the cover.

Probably the store that guy mentions is in the middle of a desert, such an unfair comment for songs like "Who is Mr. Madman" or "World of Fantasy"... Anyway I just listened to No Eternity and as many others I cannot believe how Live Now! made it to the album with this great song competing for a place...
I have spinned this album so many times I can't stop enjoying Straight Out of Hell, Burning Sun, Far From the Stars, Waiting for the Thunder, Church Breaks Down, Asshole and World of War though the others are good too they haven't grown on me yet... Nabataea defenitely is better in the album than in the single (But still feel the same when comparing to The King of 7 Eyes, same goes to Make Fire Catch the Fly).

A perfect example of a matter of taste..i dont like No Eternity much as Find My Freedom,Aiming High or Faster We Fall bonuses (but still its way better then Live Now!)
Straight Out Of Hell is also my least favorite song among Nabatea,Make Fire Catch the Fly,Years,World of War but decent song still (they need more variety imo)
As for the desert store i think that most of Malaysia is covered with forest but you could be right!:)

I usually don't check out new power metal but somehow eneded up listening this.

And don't regret it at all ! Has some really good tunes though taking about 2 or 3 of the weaker songs would make it an excellent album... 1 hour for this kind of PM is a bit long for my taste.

...what if i misuderstood him(cos my English is limited and steem was still blowing from my ears...
...7 Sinners have some good reviews from metal magazines and even high place on chart ...
...he also have right to dislike the album but not to insult us who like it...

Certainly, you have misunderstood me. "Nomal" in here means "People who like a popular album or follow a trend even musically it is not that good, such as One Republic's albums". I did not say who like 7 Sinners are "abnormal or twisted". It was your own defination.

You believe in Magazines and Charts ?

Then i apologize!

But you said that you are glad that you are normal and not "different" cos you dont like it!
So if you dont explain it more you are stuck in contex that we understand it was, insult!Agree?

As for magazines they have more independent reviews and a bit more profesional then our is(imo)

Charts are imo just indications is album on some track or just crap and obviously 7 Sinners is not what "everyone" around you said it is for many many people in the world!
(So I do not know why you're surprised that here people like the album?)

I repeat again;you have right to your own opinion and dislike album! (just next time put more explanations so there will be no mistakes please) peace

What's wrong ? I think it is geographic misunderstanding.
I thought I was alone did not like it, finally found out actually many people (in my area) agreed with me (did not like it), so I was glad.
Many people agreed with me = I was not different.
I dont see this as an insult.

And now that you are explain that like this in last post i can see its not an insult!
Your first post whas little "odd" at first for some off us
So sadly there whas misunderstanding..you clear it up now..peace!:)

This is almost definitely going to be the best power metal album of 2013. It's probably their best since since SKII.

I don't know man Scape, I found it kind of average... anyways its my opinion. I know everyone's all so hyped about it
but Idk, it did not make that much of an impact on me. Lol Its okay I guess. Could've been alot better than that.

....To be honest, my first language is English and I could barely make sense of what he was saying anyway, it was that poorly phrased..

I did not expect I had written in such a simple english, yet you still confused with what I had said. Furthermore claiming your first language is english.
I dont think yor problem is language but your intelligence level (Your misconception : First languguage is english = High intelligence)

That was not my misconception and never has been: I know many people who have lived their entire lives in the UK with intelligence that barely rivals that of a squirrel (and yes, that is where I was born and where I have lived my entire life: if I had any reason to say my first language wasn't English, I'd have made it) and I would argue myself as being only a bit above average intelligence, with a fondness for philosophical matters and the creative arts. However, if you read back what you said, you'll realise that, through your choice of words, you implied that you were better than those who liked the 7 Sinners album by saying they were abnormal and you were normal. That is a very serious insult. You've explained yourself since then, so I know that wasn't the intention of your comment, but, at the time, all I had to go on was what you'd said, which was a serious insult to those who liked the album.

Also, to explain the difficulty in understanding your last comment, I have to ask: have you ever tried reading something that is poorly phrased while sleep depraved? It's not difficult, but it does mean it can take even longer than usual to be sure you've understood it. In that particular instance, your poor phrasing, combined with this lack of sleep (less than 3 hours the previous night due to late night studying for a driving theory test), meant I had a little difficulty in being sure I'd completely understood you. Which, obviously, I did not. I'm now much more awake (thank you, energy drinks!) and I can see that, whilst you didn't phrase it so poorly that it was almost completely unintelligible (as I thought at the time), it was still poorly phrased enough for some serious potential for miscommunication, which did indeed happen. I apologise for being overly harsh in my previous comment, although I do recommend you take the time to double check what you are saying in the future to prevent misunderstandings like this from happening again.

Since I think we've derailed this thread far enough, I suggest we end this discussion here (if you need to respond to anything I've said, PM me) and let people talk about this album in peace.

Wow. finaly album from Helloween i like after long time. It's fast, heavy, melodic and none song is boring (maybe just "Wanna be god" , but it's not a song in a true sense). Well, should i visit their live show after long long time?

I have no idea what you guys like so much about this record. To me 'Nabatea' is the only decent song, the rest is extremely poor and completely forgettable. "7 Sinners" and "Gambling with the Devil" were way better ;/

3? Is that a logical rating? I rate "5 "albums i really really don't like for example "Night At The Opera" by Blind Guardian or some shitty album by Metallica. 3 means it's one of the worst albums ever. What the hell, you like "7 Sinners" and you rate this 3? Wierd. I know people have opinions but logic must play a role too...

I realize 3 is a harsh rating, but that's how disappointed I am with this record, that's all. Maybe it will change with time, but right now Straight Out of Hell is one of the worst Helloween efforts to me ;/

Wrong. 1's are reserved for the worst albums ever. 3's mean "very bad". He probably thinks this album is very bad.

1 means it's nothing. not even worth being called an album. I don't care about the metal storm labeling of numbers, but according to a professional critic 3 is way too low for an album like Straight Out Of Hell...

Well we're using Metal Storm so I think I'll go by their rating system. Also, 3 is a good score for Straight Out Of Hell if one hates it... Not everyone is going to think the same of the album.

Sure. But the key point here is, how could someone like 7 Sinners and hate this one? They are the same band and the albums aren't so different. I personally prefer this one over 7 SInners...

Helloween have pretty much worked on the same sound since 'Keeper of the Seven keys-The legacy', and on their latest, 'Straight out of the hell', they show no signs of changing their sound. There's a few 'softer' tunes such as 'Far from the sun' and the cringeworthy title of 'Hold me in your arms', but these are well balanced by the grittier likes of the title track and fantastic opener 'Nabatea'. The main problem I've always had with Helloween's latter albums is the length and obvious filler material, and unfortunately, on this album, it slightly suffers from that. I personally can't see what harm it would do to cut 'Asshole' or 'Church breaks down' from the album to make for a more consistent flow of songs, but nonetheless 'Straight out of Hell' shows that Helloween are not stopping just yet.

Good point, just disagree with Church Breaks down as I think it's one of the best songs they did in a while. And this album has less filler than other albums if u ask me. There's a nice variety in the songs although it's not to all the fans liking...

Fourth in a row that doesn't click with me. Nearly all songs seems so bland and doesn't offer anything that catches my ear. Nabatae is the best one here, a near great opening track very reminiscent of Rabbit Don't Come Easy, and Live Now! is undeniably catchy. Then there are a string of okey tracks like Make Fire Catch the Fly, Church Breaks Down and Waiting for the Thunder but it's not like i'm impressed nor excited about those.
