Steven Wilson - Reveal New Album Details
Progressive rock mastermind Steven Wilson, frontman of the renowned band Porcupine Tree and several other projects, has recently revealed the details of his third solo album called The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories).
This will be the first album under the Steven Wilson name to feature a stable line-up rather than a conglomeration of guest musicians, consisting of Guthrie Govan (lead guitar), Nick Beggs (bass guitar), Marco Minnemann (drums), Adam Holzman (keyboards) and Theo Travis (saxophone/flute). These are the musicians that joined WIlson on his latest tour, and as he reported previously, the new album was written with this line-up in mind.
The 6 tracks on the album are based on stories of the supernatural and the deluxe 4 disc edition comes in the form of a 128 page hardback book containing lyrics and ghost stories, illustrated by Hajo Mueller. The record was engineered by legendary producer/engineer Alan Parsons and will be released on Kscope on February 25th.

Based on the show I went to earlier this year, the already known track "Luminol" and the videos from the album recording, my expectations for this are colossal.

Surprisingly, the most anticipated album for me at the moment: after listening to Grace for Drowning and watching videos from the studio.
