Since there's no point in talking about Porcupine Tree in the foreseeable future, let's just focus on this new Steven Wilson's solo album as it is. I've been wanting to write about it ever since I first heard it and figured it'd be an easy feat. Cool album, I felt that the first part is better than the second one. The solo towards the end of "Drive Home" is amazing and the bass in the first track mainly, but in general the album is so good.

Like most prog I come across, this has great flowery musicianship, but it drags on too long for me. I easily lose interest halfways through a song. Nice ideas in principle, but in practice it's not that gripping.  - a very hit-and-miss genre for me

"Drive Home" and the closer are both fantastic, as are parts of "Luminol". Doesn't hold a candle to HCE but I'll keep listening.
