2. Blood
Our pop song as we call it (even though it has some of the trickiest riffs on the album ). It's about trying to find your way out of carrying the burden of your past... about trying to break out of this shell that's solidified around you through your experiences and that tries to define who you are. It's about trying to change, to forget and to forgive... yourself and others.

3. Dreadful Angel
It was originally written by a Hungarian poet who happened to be Jewish at the time of the second World War. He was waiting to be deported when he wrote this fantastic poem about... well, going crazy from constant fear and worry. The "Dreadful Angel" in the title represents madness who keeps visiting him and whispering in his ear until he gives in to her wish... A very versatile song that moves the heads of even the most stubborn audience.

4. Phantoms
A very chunky, heavy song with a lovely Jazzy acoustic bit in the middle that was inspired by a Lovecraft story, the Peabody herit. A classic dark story about battling the insanity of dreams that's really... well, reality. Doesn't end well...

5. Parfum
A very theatrical song with lots of twists and turns inspired by Patrick Suskind's book "Parfum." It's the story of a very peculiar man who's very difficult to love... or hate. He is, however, determined to change that by creating the most amazing parfum - for which some will have to die - that would make everyone adore him. He achieves that too, causing all sorts of strange havoc and at the end he realises that it wasn't really worth the effort and reaches a tragic end. It's a very strange book that's well worth reading!

6. Born of Ashes
It's about trying to create a balance in your thoughts and life - I mean this in respect of... when you try and rise above the pettyness of everyday human life it's all too easy to drive yourself mad by thinking too hard about questions surrounding the mysteries of our existence. There's of course a lot of ways you can go about that but if you are a realistic person then none of them will really satisfy you and that can be extremely unsettling.

7. Obscure Oblivion
"Obscure Oblivion" is a very emotional and very technical song about a strange and very painful love that adores you and hurts you at the same time; a love that you just can't run away from. You can only ever understand it if you lived through it.

8. Realm of Dreams
This is our "pet song." As the title suggests it's about dreams and dealing with our lives in these dreams. Things that happened in the past can haunt people for a long time in their dreams even if they think they've gotten over it or have already forgotten about it. It was also in some parts inspired by the same poet who wrote "Dreadful Angel."
