Over the past years, the name Edguy has stood for first-rate power metal, their last couple of albums all being masterpieces. Unfortunately, this era seeme to have ended for now as their latest release is far from the greatness of its predecessors. Rather, "Rocket Ride" is somewhere between light and shadow, and unfortunately the shadow has gained the upper hand. This contrast is best shown by comparing the first two songs. Read more ›› |

It starts heavy but then goes to PM, has some HM parts, has some PM parts its between, seems rocket ride to LA was bad thing. Savage Poetry and Hell Fire Club are their best

Incredibly catchy album but it gets into a bit of lightweight and silly terrotory at times. The Asylum is one of their best songs along with the title track, love when they go half-time in the second chorus. Through the heart of fire, you're home, found the asylum In a world where the broken dance on shards of glass
