Wormwood - Part Ways With Bassist, Reveal New Logo

Swedish melodic black metallers Wormwood have announced that founding member Borka is no longer their bass player. The band were looking for a session bassist earlier this year, but it seems that this didn't work out either since they plan to continue as a quartet. Guitarist Rydsheim will handle the bass duties for the next album and the band will have a session musician for the upcoming gigs. If and when they will fill the spot with a new permanent member is yet unknown.

Official statement: "Borka, one of the founding members of Wormwood is no longer a part of the band. We have also parted ways with our friend Jonny who helped us to fill the bass spot. We will not comment on this any further. We wish both a great future and we are thankful for their contributions!

"Wormwood will continue as a quartet. Now our focus is the new album and the upcoming gig!"

The band will enter the studio in a few days and shared some new music earlier this month, which will not be featured in the upcoming album, as well as their new logo.

It's not that we could hear much bass in the, otherwise magnificent, Ghostlands...
